I don't see any selfishness in your request. This was me, asking you for permission for me to draw your character, in my style. And I will be taking some creative liberties rendering it.
The way I see it, selfishness is slef pitty and self doubt, or receiving without gratitude, and giving nothing, or giving grudgingly (ie: giving and attaching an IOU, or with reluctance).
In essence, your request gives me an oportunity to stretch my skills, and I get to share it and make new friends. We're both edified in the end. It's a win win scenario really. I think more people should be open to see their OC's drawn by others. Gives more people a chance to break their comfort zone and grow. After all, there is no growth in the comfort zone.

Oh yeah, on that note. I decided I'll start with your request. I like drawing dragonesque characters, and this is excuse enough for me. I'll go ahead and get it started, probably today. I'll keep you updated on progress.
