these two are pricks to everyone except each other, this is literally the only healthy relationship that Travis has ever been in and also the main one that helped him be more open to everything. Travis used to act cold to everyone while maintaining a smile with it, but when Ace came along he would annoy Travis or be kind to him like take something but also buy him something (like snacks from the towns). Ace was somewhat a nomad before deciding to live on Arrows Island so he knew a lot about being free which caught Travis’s eye, him and Ace would frequently run to the town to shop or hang out in their treehouse (yes they made a treehouse in one of the biggest trees behind the Northern Kingdom, Travis’s Kingdom) and they would eat together
basically Ace helped Travis bring out the child in him that never got to experience fun things
