While the Keyhunters are in the midst of the war zone...

Much farther away, where the Nightmare King's spell did not reach, the police are trying to escort and evacuate people out of the city. Even though this area was not affected, the city as a whole has been deemed unsafe for anyone to remain here. A large crowd of people are gathered here, in all states of emotions--panic, sorrow, anger, etc... And among the group of humans, a man in his late 30's holds an umbrella over himself and a much younger girl with crutches. The man has greasy black hair that he's slicked back, and is wearing mostly fine black leather clothes to match, with leather pants, fine shoes, and a leather jacket, on top of a black turtleneck. He has gold and silver rings on all of his fingers with different gemstones in each, strange hoop earrings with more shiny jewels in them, a gold chain necklace and another gold and silver necklace underneath, with a unique amethyst-type stone in the center that has almost a sunset colored hue to it, similar to that of the seven tiny feathers that surround it: three on one side, four on the other. The golden tanned skin of the man's face is marred by splotches of red acne, though that doesn't sully his vivid sea-green colored eyes. Possibly his most noticeable feature is his large, gaudy, bejeweled nose ring that sticks out like a neon light on his face.

The man makes a face, squeezes his eyes shut, then sneezes into his arm. "Uuuugh... Man, I can definitely tell my allergies have gotten waaaay worse since the last time I visited here..." he mumbles, trying to wipe his nose on his sleeve with his nose ring in the way. Then he looks over at the girl beside him. "How're you holding up, kiddo?"

A young girl about the age of 14 was leaning on her crutches, she was taking in all the signs off what was going on in the world around her, people talking about monsters attacking, others worry about family, she finally look up at the older edgy man, she looked out of places next to him with her mid back long blonde straight hair with red headband on, she had a cute red dress on with white polka dots, she had white half lace sweater on, white leggings and sparkly red shoes, she look like she just got out from Sunday school " everyone is in distress Uncle George " her voice was as soft as her look

Uncle George, as the girl called him, frowns at her comment. "Yeah, they are... It's a feeling all too familiar, isn't it Dorothy? You'd almost think we're back in Kansas..." he says more quietly this time, but quickly moves on, leaning a little closer to her as he asks, "Who or what do you think is responsible for this?"

Dorothy slowly nodded her head, this did feel something like before she left home the chaos of everything, the confusion, fear and anger.... " it's because of them isn't it? " she asked quietly as she grips her crutches handles tighter. The young girl then look up at her edgy uncle, it was clear that tears threatened to fall from her blue eyes as she asked " They betrayed them to didn't they?..."

"Well, it'd certainly be easy to assume that after what you've already seen of them..." George quietly replies, moving back and crossing his arms. "But we're coming in right as chaos is already unfolding, we're missing the context, just like everyone else here. What happened to lead up to this? ... When I look at this, all I see is Soledormir carving his name into this world, like a woodsmith carving his signature into his work..."

He watches the people around him for a moment, then looks back to Dorothy. "What do you think? Should we try to do some investigating?"

Dorothy look up at her uncle, she wanted to understand what he was getting at but the pain she felt wanted to hold her mind in place and the mixture of emotions showed on her face but at least she was willing to look for more evidence, to ether prove Uncle George right that this was all Soledormir doing or her belief that the key hunters were all monsters and were the real enemy...

The little blonde girl meekly nodded and replied " ..yes please...I do want to understand the truth " then she muttered under her breath "...whatever it may really be "

George nods his head at Dorothy's choice, and quietly says, "Alright, well let's get going then. We can start off slowly as make our way in, we don't need to go to the heart of the action right now with you still having trouble with your legs... You still got your coat, right kiddo?"

Dorothy simply nodded her head, she was ready, she had her /coat/ stuffed in a small backpack // I won't forgive them for what they did...//to her the answer was obvious but her uncle seemed to believe there was more to the story so the young girl wanted to know the truth.

George glances over at the people nearby, where the officers carefully continue trying to escort people to safety, even though some people are still persistent on staying for whatever their reason may be. The rather edgy man then carefully leads his niece in the same direction the other people are going, at least to a certain point, where he then guides her over towards a building, likely to help her get her coat and put it on...

But the two don't appear to leave that building afterwards, at least to the people around... Only a moving spot where the drizzling rain doesn't fall says anything about what really is transpiring here...
