I like the depth you created with the three-d, it's there but not over powering. I think some more shadows, especially more contrasting shadows, would really push this and make the soul pop and glow like a light source. To really push that you could even make part of the hand vanish so-to-speak intomthe light. Also, when shadows are cast by a very bright light they tend to be rather harsh, yours here are soft edged. Over all I like the idea of the piece and think you have some good potential! Just study the way light works in real life and you'll really move forward!
