I thought I'd make up some facts about Half Zartanians before I resume me comic. o/

So first off: Appearances. Halflings share the same skin color as their non-Zartanian parent. But their eyes and hair remain the same.
Sometimes they share the same ears, but sometimes they have the non-Zartanian parent's ears. ( We'll use humans for an example going forward. )
Now being half-Zartanian, halflings share higher adrenaline from the Zartanian parent. As well as being able to gain muscle pretty fast if they devote their time to training. Tovia started off with a human frame of a dainty princess before she realized she was stronger than a human.
After a few months of being mentored by her father, her progress began to show. ( cont. )

Personality:

Halflings mainly act like regular humans growing up. Though they do get strange looks from others because of their eyes and hair.
As they grow, they start showing a few traits of Zartanians. Such as temper. Zartanians experience rage a bit quicker than most beings. Couple that with being a teenager, and hooooooo-boy. You're looking at seriously angsty teen. :'D
Most who seem to have a more gentle personality may go off on their own when they're upset to try to calm down.
Halflings also have big appetites, so when regular portions aren't enough, hunting skills from their Zartanian side kick in, and they go hunt. ( cont. )

Zartanian parents often don't know how to treat their halfling offspring at first. They may be part them, but they have significantly less resistance and durability than Zartanian babies. The human parent REALLY needs to raise them for the most part before they began to walk and talk. Or at the very least teach them to be a bit more gentle than normal. That's when their Zartanian strength begins to kick in.

At toddler age, they can't control their strength that well yet, so expect many broken things like doors, cribs, tables, your carriage, weapons, you name it. Especially when they teethe on things. A good remedy for that are hefty branches. Don't be nervous, remember, they're half Zartanian, they'll be ok.

Okay I finally have some and I'm pretty curious in knowing what other races besides humans were certain Zartanians willing to mingle with outside of their species.

Can they get as tall as their Zartanian parent?

Do they participate in Zartanian culture?

Is it possible for them to get stronger than both of their parents?

@ShihouxAdventure Ah, ok! Well, Zartanians usually like strength more than anything else. So if they see something is really strong, against their better judgement, they'll often go after them to make stronger breeds of Zartanians.

In some cases, yes, half-Zartanians can get as tall as their parents. It's usually a 50/50 shot because they can also be average human size.

Most times, no. Halflings usually just act more human than Zartanian. But sometimes they want to honor their Zartanian side too, so they ask their parent to show them the ropes.

That one is a tough call, honestly. I would want to say yes, but they still have human makeup on them as well. They'll be able to gain muscle far quicker than humans if they work out, and will be FAR stronger than any human around, but I dunno. It's a head-scratcher.
