@GaboKoopa, just talk to your mother. Since you said it's been three years since you last talked to her, a lot of things might have changed. You never know until you try. Unless you have done something horrible to warrant that, then you have nothing to worry about.
Word of advice, beware of who you're listening to as they might give you misleading advice that might make the situation even worse.
