EUGHFG im really trying to get better with this but all my art just looks lazy because its so simple, no matter what its always gonna have my insecurities be really noticeable :[ aurgh i even like how this came out but havent stopped beating myself up over my own art style every single time i draw a background LOL!!! my dumb self getting sad for no reason when I draw backgrounds will continue unless i FIGHT IT AND DRAW EM MORE ARGHHGGFF!! hearing good critique and actually applying that to new BG drawings is what i need and i have all the time in the world rn im gonna fight my fear of backgrounds istg

It's already an improvement from the last background attempt. I'd say adding some little details to the line art would improve it a bit. (Like folds on the window curtains, hatching or crosshatching shading on the walls, cracks on the walls, some wood lines on the window sill). With the brush in it's smallest setting/using the soft brush so the details aren't too overbearing. I think subtle details like that can bring the whole piece together!
