Toned Tan by Hauk54
Toned tan paper is something that I am very familiar with in traditional media. Some of my favorite pieces that I have created have been on toned paper. So, I decided to try something similar with this painting. #tonedtan #portrait

Nice work. I started doing some sketches on tan paper too. It acts as a good mid tone so you can easily balance the highlights and shadows without much fuss

Looks great. Do you use the Sthrathmore pads? I like the toned grey as well.

@tall73 thank you. Yes, I do use Strathmore pads. I've never tried them in grey though. I'm most fond of their mixed media toned paper. The thicker paper is nice for use with inkwash and watercolor.

I bought the multimedia pad for my daughter for use with gouache, and it worked well.
