Human Practice by Raveracious

Trying to get better at hair, posture, and hands. I'm both unhappy and happy with it.

The shape of the head and hair maybe? And something about the eyes..? That's mostly what's bothering me, the head looks off and I can't place why.

Okay! Let's talk about the eyes.
First thing I'll note is, if eyes aren't drawn with a highlight, they tind to look lifeless, so try adding highlights to future drawings. (Unless you're trying to do sad/possessed expressions, then you might want to leave them out)
Second thing, it's really slight, but the eyes are looking in different places. One looking at the front of the hand, and the other is looking at the back of it. Eye placement can mess up something's entire look, but be hard to find.

Holy cow you're right, I didn't notice! No wonder it felt so off.

Now, on to the head
The eyes and the chin are not lined up. The eyes are positioned like the head is straight up, while the chin is positioned like head is tilted. This might also be why the shape of the head bothers you, since the top of the head is also drawn straight up.

Okay, YES, it has to be that exactly! I'm very likely going to redraw this with those changes
