I will always respect extra effort : )
When I first started, I had a goal of pumping out two paintings/week. If one project was taking longer to do, I'd take a quick break and do something abstract to buy myself some more time.
But now I just take my time, think deeper about what I want in the long run, and pace myself comfortably.
Hope I can inspire some creativity from you. Keep it up.
