ik im like a few days late but hi!!! ty for the follow n welcome to colors >:] i can try n give u tips for using it, whatre u struggling with in specific?? make sure to ping me if u reply here so i dont miss it lmao jus put @elininjakat somewhere
@Elininjakat Hello!! Thnks for the follow back and the kind welcome!!! I'm kinda mostly struggling with coloring tbh >< If u have any tips for that plsplspls let me know !!! :]
yw yw!! i hope u enjoy ur stay >:] ok so, since you're on the switch there's good news! you'll be getting a fill bucket tool sometime in the future! until then though, you'll have to make do with the regular colors tools
im not sure specifically what you/re struggling with in coloring, is it actually picking the colors you wanna use or laying the colors down/filling the lines?
if it's filling the lines, i recommend making ur brush super big and then erasing around the edges, that's how i usually color in my linework. its a bit harder with thin lineart but for thick lines its pretty easy
if it's actually picking the colors, we can dive a bit into color theory there ig? i'm not an expert at it, BUT it helps to look at the wheel and either pick colors that are close on it (say green, blue, purple. blue shades green well, blue shades purple well) OR to pick complementary and tertiary colors. im not the best at it but theres a good tutorial on here i'll try and link in my next comment rq
#btp2 jump to the tag and watch the playback of both drawings!! very helpful explanations of color theory, i don't know if they'll work on the switch though so if they don't then lemme know and i'll try n summarize them for ya
there's also different types of shading to take into account too... i usually use cel shading with maybe a bit of a soft highlight
idk i'm no expert on all this, just tryna see if theres anythin i can help with :')
