"I think that's where Glory and Crim and everyone else are! That's where I can sense Glory, at least! Hey--" Weaver started to exclaim, but then he gets distracted when he looks back down at his friend and notices Catch's true form. "--Woah, hey, Catch! You're back to being a red head Dreamer again! Except more fancy now, but hey, that's awesome! How do you feel?"
" there over there?" Catch just stared for a moment, it was a sight to see, he then shook his head to get back to focus on the now and how Weaver was suddenly talking normal " wait what?" The Dreamer prince then looked down at himself " What how?!" " Catch! Your back! Your back!" Anna repeated Weaver and flew around the two boys but as she did that she noticed that Weaver wasn't looking as nightmarish as he was a moment ago " Weaver! Your looking better to! "
Dreamcatcher was looking down at himself and even to his golden wings, he was fancier but with what his Fairfin said the Dreamer prince cranked his neck to look behind himself " Whoa! Weaver! Something happened to you to! " yes Weaver still resembled the Nightmare form he was cursed as but he looked better then before, more like when Eater had his Darkness suppressed which was a big Improvement but it was more then that, with his neck being bent in such a way Catch was able to see his friend face and notice out of everything it was his friends Weaver eyes, not the eerie look of a nightmare
Danny just stood staring at the red star in the sky, something stirred in him that he hadn't felt in long then he could remember " that something else "
Crystal glanced at Boreas when he got them standing on their feet again, the corner of her mouth flicking upwards in a momentary smile to show her thanks before she turned her attention back to Jason. She had the feeling the Elemental was right that Scarlet had a hold on the boy, but Crystal wasn’t sure how it happened, they had been so careful..
Of course she didn’t have the time to really think about it because then there was a flash, and smoke, and pops, and strange music out of nowhere.. Real quick Crystal became overwhelmed, little spots speckled in her vision from the flash and her ears weren’t exactly used to so much noise all at once.
“Where’d he go..?” The girl mumbled, glancing around. She quickly looked up though when she heard and saw the shots hitting above their heads, and seeing the blinking red lights, she knew it wasn’t good and turned to attempt to move away.
Boreas squinted when Jason used a flash bang. //...Aggressive, disorienting start, I see...// Once the light had subsided, he glanced to the smoke filling the room. Along with the glare of the glowing mist, it was practically impossible to see. The sound from the smoke bombs made it more difficult to hear as well.
Boreas immediately got to work on letting the mist dissipate, simultaneously letting his senses of the air around them make up for what he was missing while he tried to watch. The state of his mind wasn't letting him be at his full, sharp self, but Crystal easily covered that part. The icy Elemental quickly caught onto what was happening and followed the girl's lead, using his ice to slide both of them across the ground and away from danger--as well as letting the ice spread across the floor.
And then--KABOOM! The roof caved in above where they were and made the messy floor that much messier... But this also created an opening to outside--which granted Boreas more space with his weather control to create a gale to try clearing the smoke out as much as possible. He knew he couldn't hold anything back, but at the same time, he didn't know everything Jason could do. He was hoping, by helping the Mares' visual situation, they could work to subdue Jason... And well, if anything else, he was setting up a backup plan.
The Captain quickly pocketed his earpiece, then muttered to Crystal, "Scarlet has to be somewhere here, too... My head's fuzzy--I'm going to need your help."
As the smoke was getting push out a bolas shot out from cover, the rope cord with three metal balls at the ends wrapped around one of the mare legs, she let out a startled on Winnie as she when down.
Jason rush forward out the smoke towards the small group Vanguards, one was down with only her mouth to use but with no ability to use her magic she was useless in this form with her legs tied up so just two more to go...
The Vanguard in her humanoid form met the young prince half way, she wasn't going to hold back for fear of everyone's life, she had summon her sword and had lit it on fire, swing her sword at him Jason rises one of his gauntlets with the small Shield * CLING * sparks flew with the Clash, he then rises his crossbow to her gut... the Vanguard had to act fast in this instant, she took her other hand and quickly Shoved the weapon away from her gut as he fired, the bolt miss anything vital but it torn though her armor on her side and nicked her good, They were still going in the same interaction, Jason let go of his crossbow as it got pushed, he then was taking that hand into a fist and was bringing to the woman face...
she stumbled back from the hit, the other mare took the opportunity to charge at the Orange hair shapeshifter. Jason didn't have much time to react, he turned and quickly slammed his forearms together and braced himself, a flicker of energy flashed across gauntlet Shields, in that moment a bigger shield was formed out of some kind of purple energy, the mare hit the shield, it spark and sent out a pulse that double the impact the mare just did to it and sent it right back at her, the force sent her flying back.
Edgar had been making panic robot screeching noises every since the roof fell were Crystal and Boreas were at, he waves his tiny robotic limbs in his panic, ones the two were in a safer spot but then Jason revealed himself and started to attack the Vaseterms the small drone started to do the what he thought would help, he flew closer to the floor and started to pick up and toss the clothes in a frantic search for any blood, the evil sword kind
With how many birds were swirling around them, and attacks from below, it was hard for Eira to think, so she just kept flying about in twists and turns and loops. "I can't leave you out here alone - we're all in it together!" she called back to Sparky. Sparky was bright but Eira was also big, so it lended to the mission to divert the ravens. But being big meant she was a bigger target, and she kept feeling sharp bird bites all along her hide, but she was too focused on avoiding the projectiles from below to get free time to shake the birds off. //So long as they can get a head start,// the shiftress thought as she glimpsed the dark form of the Rahab bus getting further ahead. But in the corner of her vision, through the swarm of ravens and dark clouds above, she spotted that beacon of light pierce down and land on Crimson, and she felt an unusual stirring inside of her. She noticed the red glow about herself and fluttered her wings in confusion and surprise. //What's going on?...// But hope washed over her and she felt stronger for some reason...
---
Rahab's mind seemed frozen in the moment, trapped between whether to continue his mission or go back and help his sister. He was scared for her, and it was hard to do anything until he knew she'd be safe... But then Crimson's beacon of light came down, and something new seemed to spark to life inside the griffin. It was like something was calling him forwards... There was a feeling that Eira would be okay too. He didn't know for sure, it was scary to not know, but he knew one thing and that was he needed to get these people to safety. The griffin dove forward again, and just in time - his hesitation had given the ground attacks an advantage, and one of the projectiles swooshed by and scratched his side, just barely missing his chest where it could've hit something vital. Rahab swallowed back the dread of /oh shoot that could've been bad/ and he looked forward again to fly. Then something caught his eye that he hadn't seen before. A line of street lights suddenly lit up with a blue-ish white glow, creating a path through the city. It wasn't just for a little while, either - it was leading somewhere, and somehow Rahab knew he needed to follow it. "This way!" he shouted - though, little did he know, he was the only person in their group who could see those lights.
First Terra's mind had been being overwhelmed by negativity... now he's suddenly being filled with hope. The numbness fades from his arms, and he starts to feel more through them again as he's healed--the end of his one ribbon even grows back. But the Dreamer ghost still sits there, blinking a few times, and wondering to himself, //What on earth is happening anymore...?!// Still being overwhelmed by everything, Terra isn't sure what to do, still, or if there's anything much he /can/ do, but when the lady who might be Fiona pulls out Shockwave, Terra reaches over with his other ribbon and wraps it around her arm (the one that's holding on to Rahab), to help balance her and support her more, while still keeping his other ribbon around her.
"Alright, let's do this then!" Sparky shouts, keeping as positive as he can with the circumstances, and the birds trying to swarm around him as he flies. He can't help but notice some of the red energy sparking from some of them as more and more gather around him... But, when the clouds part and the light shines down, his fierce orange glow becomes a brightly burning red as well! And he gets bigger too--or is that just his glow getting so much brighter? Either way, he feels much more empowered to do what he needs to do, and he charges through the crowd of birds around him, sparks and crackles of red and white energy discharging from his ghostly form and zapping the birds as he gets close.
Morning Glory, meanwhile, continues to cling to the red king, having squinted her eyes shut while he casted his spell and everything glowed brightly, but now she opens her eyes wide. The little Forgotten is almost back to being a normal Fairfin now due to the spell that he cast, and the light that he's shared with everyone, and though she's a little stunned at that, she's still more concerned about Crimson, especially seeing his eye glowing a bright red with a golden white center from inside his helmet... Of course, she's concerned about everyone else, too. //Rita? Who or what is Rita?// she briefly thought to herself, but instead, Glory tries to look ahead when Rahab shouts, not seeing the things that he is. //He seems to know where to go, at least, though anywhere away from /that thing/ is a good way to go!// She then turns her attention back to Crimson, and sweetly purrs a little more, and says, "I don't know what kind of magic you just used, but you've done a good thing, Crimson, thank you!"
The birds had continued to go after those who attempted to get away, but now with the group getting a buff this was far more difficult, what seem to have been in their favor had not turned around and they were at a disadvantage, they had been trying to swarm in a way to cast a dark spell in which they could drain the magic out of those trapped inside their swarm ball, but their speed had been slow and they were going after two targets that were moving quickly.
The Seeker traps fired at both Griffins and Fairfin as they passed by, the red king spell had slowed them down but they were still dangerous and determined to shoot them down, however Rahab had gone in an area that the Seeker did not place any traps, a place that was hidden beyond his understanding...
The red king watch the Griffin and the tiny Bellezza for a moment longer before he didn't have the strength to and his body went limp, he rolled his head to look at whom was speaking, it was the other tiny Bellezza, that one who had been with him and called him friend but he was puzzle by her question //... huh?....// shouldn't she know? She was a Bellezza was she not? But at the same time everything felt so off, he was experiencing strange and yet familiar discomfort, Crimson was suffering several injuries which he was still bleeding from, but the red king wasn't fully aware of this, was he in pain? He experienced pain before but this was different wasn't it, this made difficult, breaking was hard but wait what? Breaking? " t-this is n-ot right-!" At that realization the red king began to lose focus as he started to coughing wheeze, with that his spell began to collapse, the red light began to fade and though the clouds still were open the sky being to return to its normal color, however his blessing on those would still last a bit longer.
Fiona focused on attempting to deflect the darkness being shot at them. Had she not been so occupied, she would've thanked Terra for holding onto her--it was a big help in keeping Crimson and herself both on Rahab's back. The Elemental leaned and let out a "WHOA!" when one of the projectiles singed Rahab's side... Eventually, the amount being fired slowed, but they were still there. Fiona made sure she had a secure hold on Crimson as their griffin ally flew forward--he seemed to know where he was going, but Fiona wasn't able to see what he could see...
Well, not exactly. She had been seeing all kinds of distortions, and that was all she saw where Rahab saw lights. Still, she couldn't focus on that... There were birds chasing after them, too! Fiona took Shockwave, turned the blade to the flat side, and attempted to use it like a flyswatter against the ones closest to them. "C'MON GUYS!! YOU GOTTA MAKE IT!!" She shouted to Sparky and Eira.
Eira kept flying in rapid loops and patterns, trying to keep the birds off of her, and feeling much faster and fresher after the unusual magic boost that they just got. But she spotted that the ravens were forming a sphere around them, and she knew that couldn't be good if they trapped them. "Sparky, we have to go!" She rushed towards the glowing orange Fairfin and reached out to grab him - hopefully he would recognize it as her and let her take him - and she proceeded to dive down with her wings tucked, exhaling a blast of ice magic, and bursting through the growing wall of dark wings.
Rahab could feel the burn of the scratch, but Crimson's light and the mission to protect his passengers motivated him onwards, and he gave his all into speeding ahead and following the path that the mysterious lamps had created. They began to weave through the city, further away from all the traps and from the action. It was getting quieter, which was a good sign, though it baffled the griffin what this path was from. He just knew that it would help them.
"Me too?" Weaver asks as he leans over, looking at Catch, but then he leans back and holds his hands out in front of himself, examining his hands and his chest. He vaguely remembers what he looked like when his mind was clouded and fuzzy, he knows he had claws and didn't look good, but now he doesn't have claws or the hollowed out chest appearance of a Nightmare. "Yeah, me too! Something /did/ happen to me too! Well, I mean I know something did, because I don't feel like drugs anymore," he snorts quietly, but continues, "But I'm guessing it must've been that red star thing! My head cleared up when it appeared, I don't even really feel like I'm a Nightmare anymore... And now you're back to being yourself too, Catch!" Dreamweaver takes a moment to wipe his mouth with the back of his hand to try and make sure there's nothing gross left on his face, then he looks ahead at Catch again and says, "I dunno about you, brother, but I'm feeling a lot more confident about saving our friends now! How about we get going again?"
Terra quietly sits on Rahab's back, holding on to him and Fiona.
After zapping and shocking several of the black birds that he charged through, the brightly glowing red Sparky briefly hesitates when Eira and Fiona both call for him. "Alright! Alright!" he calls back, indeed allowing Eira to grab him as she flies. Admittedly, part of him wants to beat up the evil birds a bit more, what with the surge of power he got from the red king's spell, and the birds themselves being slowed down by the same, but he's more concerned for Eira's safety so he's willing to go with her. He holds on to her claws when she grabs him, and doesn't let go.
"Crimson?" Glory calls when the red king starts wheezing and coughing, and she tries to reassure him, saying, "Please, try not to push yourself any harder, you're already really injured, Crim... We'll get you to safety, we're all gonna be ok, and we're gonna get you patched up!"
Watching the roof give way and crash where they had just been, Crystal was relieved they had gotten out from underneath the explosion in time.. seeing as they definitely would have been hurt had they not moved. The sudden opening to outside made her feel less closed in and trapped though, so while it was scary to think what might have happened, it seemed to work out in their favor, especially given Boreas could now clear away the smoke too. The girl looked at the Elemental when he spoke, giving him a nod. “Of course, let’s find her,” Crystal replied, worrying for Boreas state, but knowing they had to keep moving.
The girl quickly got distracted by Jason’s return as he targeted and fought the Vanguard. Crystal was frozen for a moment while watching the boy’s attacks, she wanted to go help, wanted to stop him, but she knew she wouldn’t be able to keep up on that side of things. Among the commotion, she glanced at the frantic Edgar searching around in the mess and soon turned her eyes back to Boreas, now with an idea in mind. “I.. I know you said you don’t feel all that good, but do you think you’re up for distracting Jason and giving the Vanguard a hand? It’ll hopefully buy some time and I'll go look for Scarlet in the meanwhile.”
Boreas eyed what they could see of the fight through the partially cleared smoke, trying his best to take in what he could through the mind fog.
However, he soon turned his attention to Crystal, straining to hear what she was saying over the noise... He thought he got the gist of her idea: buy time, find Scarlet. The icy Elemental made sure the girl could see and nodded, saving on his mental capacity to try and piece together his own course of action...
Of course, his first thought--he wasn't going to stray far from Crystal. Scarlet /was/ after her... Second, Jason was obviously far too nimble and experienced with working in these kinds of conditions. Even if he did leave Crystal, Jason would likely know how to watch for incoming attacks. The Captain was going to try something to discreetly knock his balance off.
He focused, quickly summoning up his hammer and bringing it into the floor, cracking it open. He hoped the loud music around them would partially drown out this action. Then the Elemental planted his left hand into the opening, pushing himself to send the strongest ice magic he could muster into the foundation. He was going to direct it as quickly as possible underneath the floor to where Jason was standing, and use it to shatter the ground to cause a sudden shift in his footing... He even let it congregate in particular places around that area, just in case.
(Sorry for the really late reply, but hello guys!!
I’m alright I suppose. This week has been kinda meh and the last couple days I’ve felt like I’m getting over a cold for some reason even though I didn’t have one, but I’m good for the most part I guess x3
Everything felt wrong to the red king, this didn't seem like the dreams, no, he felt pain before but this, this was in new ways, parts of him were hurting and he felt himself breathing... when the tiny Bellezza was doing her best to comfort him, he try to look at her, the red king wanted to ask questions, he didn't understand what was happening but he couldn't get full words out from his Panic coughing.
At one point the shooting stopped, and by following the mysterious light from the lamp post Rahab would have gone far enough to were the black birds dared not to pursue them, the birds burn with a silvery light before turning back to safety.
~This ground was Sacred~
~[ song: [ beautiful] open your gate* Hiroyuki Sawano]~
Like a guide for Rahab to follow, the mythical lighted path lead from the city into an open lush park, a beautiful garden with trees and bushes full of fall colors, paths lead to ponds with fish and waterfowl, little Bridges connected the path from the water ways and in the Center was a fountain with a statue that had four angels pouring water...
Just passed the fountain was a farm style looking building with a couple large silos behind it, a parking lot next to it, only a few abomination vehicles remain as it seem the people must had evacuated already.
Fiona continued attempting to whack away the black birds--or /anything/ that decided to show its ugly mug as Rahab flew farther and farther from the madness. Eventually, it seemed like it was just the birds coming after them... And once they reached a certain point...
The birds seemed to be repelled by some invisible force. Fiona let out a shocked yelp when some of them closest to her were abruptly burned by silver light. "...WHOA--What just--" Then she just stared as the majority of the flock turned back. She put that surprise aside for the moment, worriedly searching for Sparky and Eira through the mass of black. //They're on their way... C'mon... They can make it...//
After a moment, she turned back to the group she was with. Now that it was quieter, she could actually hear and think about poor Crimson choking. Glory was trying to comfort him right then--she also looked a lot different--but Fiona tried to stay focused on the task at hand. She loosened her death-grip on Crimson and gently patted his arm, trying to help out if she could.
After taking a moment to breathe heavily and gather her frantic thoughts a little, Fiona muttered, "...I think... I think we're safe here?" She looked to Rahab, then Terra, then the very interesting area they'd found themselves in. It flat out /felt/ safe... And also a little different. But the latter didn't last too long--in fact, with everything else that had happened, Fiona barely even noticed it.
Like a puppet on a string Jason didn't stop, after pushing back the mare he pivoted and pulled his sword from it's sheath, as he swung the the blade over his head it extended length and size to form greatsword " Mega darkness slash of Doom!"
Villain Jason would have pulled off his wicked move, if it wasn't for Boreas giving him the static effect of Tremors, he stumbled from the ground shifting beneath his feet and got his attack way off, missing the Vanguard he had Falcon punched and landed his blade into the ground.
The Vanguard life flash before her eyes ( I guess with Vaseterm you could say that can happen literally with their visions) she was instance from getting a killing blow from the Silver spear prince, in the time that Boreas gave her, she returned that favor and decked him right back in the face and knocking him back.
Jason stumbled back again but the ground was still staple, he did his best to catch his footing " that was a critical hit but it wasn't very effective! Is that all you got?!" He taunted waving a hand to come get him.
The Vanguard knew Jason was up to something or like probably many things, obviously he wanted her to come after him and with Boreas using ice she didn't want to counter by using fire, that would be a very bad idea she figured. -
It did seem that Jason was more vocal then he was just moments before when he was just attacking the Vanguard, perhaps something has changed?
Edgar continue frantically searching they're all the different scattered close, he shined his light across the room, things of red were everywhere shirts here, jackets their, shoes tossed around, jewelry and even makeup, amongst everything else there was the creepy red writing, most the the words could not be read by anyone other then a dark creature but the message that could be read were not Pleasant ' HE IS MINE, I WILL FREE HIM FROM YOU, YOU WILL DIE '
Scarlett had this planned and it was like finding a Haystack, though her desire to kill Crystal and to get back to Crimson was strong, and seeking from her hidden place the human girl separating herself form the others made her anxious, she so wanted to kill Crystal and in her mind it should be easy, she was only a human and had be injured, the curse the weapon could sense Crystal blood and she wanted it...// .... you poison his mind long enough, I will free him from your evil and he will finally be able to heal... just come closer so I can end this~// she thinks eagerly to herself
The Seeker turned his attention from the group attempting to escape him and looked to the Black Raven that landed on the light pole {....thissss could have all beensss avoided if he would have heeded my warningsss...}
~~{Song: Gnossienne 3, Eric Satie}~~ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3c_RU2NcJ9c
The Raven keeps its unamused expression as it watches the group from its perch. {So close, and yet so far... What a fool... This is why Vex will only ever be the Harbinger, and nothing more...} the sleek black bird replies to the Seeker.
{..Hmm... the gamessss he plays has the greatest rewardsss but at the highestsss costs.... } looking back towards the Escaping group, how little did they know what almost took place today... but he also understood something the devil didn't want to, that even with all the planning and Scheming this time was different... {...he would be greater if it wasn't for his recklessnesss and arrogance...hisss mind is of a youth, he clever and issss boldsss putting into actionsss when others waitsss.... } he let out a mixture of a sigh and growl as he see the bright red light illuminated the sky pulling back the clouds and revealing the darkness below and he added { ... but now things are coming undone... he did notsss heed my warningsss and now it isss awakenssss...}
The Raven now seems oddly pleased in some way as the red light beams down, exposing the darkness, but particular comments the Seeker made then irritates him. He ruffles his feathers some. {... He is incapable of being greater... Such is his nature... His impatience and foolishness will only ever lead him to his own humiliating failure, just as it has now...}
But now the Raven pauses slightly, before giving a command. {Do not pursue these chosen ones any further, Vex has lost his game at this point... Let him wallow in his defeat, as history repeats itself once again...}
Some nasty noises came from the Seeker as he think on how to reply, his master was Irritated and he knew to choose his words wisely... {...hmm... clearer Reflectionssss this time yessss...but nonesss have been as perfectsss as him...} The demon knew much, far more then what could be seen and known right now and in a way understood more then his master {... try and plansss but itss will notsss be as which it wassss... do not letsss your sightss blindssss you from your goalssss...}After giving his warning the Seeker ceased fire with his turrets and said { if this is yoursss wish then I willsss do as you desiresss Felsss king...} The turrets had stop but the birds were a different story, some still pursued aggressively as the few that had joined the group later broke off and went about their own way, other birds were confused do they go to or keep playing as others birds just got even more tick off and Reckless, not giving up on their Pursuit
{... No, there has not yet been one as perfect as he was... but one can be molded to perfection...} the Raven smoothly replies to the Seeker, seeming to relax a little, just a little, as the abomination obeys. The black bird tips his head to the side almost smugly, and continues, {All of my planning will not be in vain... Do you not see it already? The ones chosen to play the roles are falling into line, and are nearly ready for the encore...}
As Seeker listened to his master he turned back to the escaping group, Rahab was no longer in sight but Eira and Sparky were visible to his Senses still, he made an unsettling gurgling sound at what the Raven said, the abomination knew his masters well but he was the Seeker not the planner {... similar yesss, but ..... I am weary of himssss and the case issss not the samesss... treadsss with caution for I sense there maysss be more then the Deceiver at play... }
{Caution...?} the Raven huffs, {You assume me to be the one who is reckless, now...? I have watched and waited thousands upon thousands of years, carefully studying my enemies and setting things in place to ensure my own success, there is none who can stop me... I have exercised the greatest amount of caution in perfecting my grand scheme...}
The Raven then turns its head to the Seeker, and says, {... As for you... Seek out the lone raven hair, I doubt she will be difficult to find... Snuff out her light, for her role in this play has ended... I shall attend to my own matters...}
The Seeker did not say more to his master, the red king and those with him was out of his sight now and there was nothing the abomination could do about that for now...
The Seeker hisss and bowed to the Raven, though his next task he felt was more of Doomardsod specialty it would set a course of events... then just like that the shadows spread around him and the darkness crept away leaving an empty street with signs of what took place, dark magic lingered in the area, the road had a Is large hole made from magic acid. Crimson first helmet lead were he left it, not far from the other trace of the red king in the alleyway.
The Raven lingers on the lamp post for a moment longer, retaining its smug, yet proper posture, before spreading its wings and flying away to do just as it had planned...
(I dunno, this guy showed up way too late to join the RP--we stopped accepting new members years ago Who even is this "Soledormir" guy? Anyone know him?)
With Sparky cupped in her hands like when one gently cups a butterfly, Eira dove towards the buildings below and snapped horizontal to weave through the buildings just above the street, making herself a harder target. The birds were already hot on her trail, but then something caught her eye. Something blue was glowing down a street, floating mystically like a will-o-the-wisp. She didn't know what it was, but it felt like it was beckoning her somewhere... With the birds right behind, she couldn't stop to think. The griffin snapped her wings and took after it, Bending the corner to find a whole path of the wisps leading away. The shiftress followed and followed down the blocks. Suddenly, she heard the flash of silver and the pained squawks of the ravens behind her. They had stopped behind the invisible barrier and flocked about restlessly after losing their target. Eira sucked in a breath, feeling confusion but plenty relief, and she continued forward until they abruptly appeared in the forested park.
Rahab almost recoiled from shock when they suddenly flew into this park, which seemed so out of place in the desolate city - but it was extremely relieving to be there, and he felt like he could relax his tense form finally as he flew up to the barn and landed. What was interesting was that Rahab didn't see things like everyone else did; while everyone else saw a quaint park and barn, Rahab saw ten griffin statues surrounding the central garden like guards, and each one holding a star. Pretty insects and little critters flitted about in the undergrowth, and the barn in front of them was particularly different, looking like a palace with hints of oriental castle, modern, and futuristic tones to its wise architecture. "What... is this place?"
Anna was flying around the two boys, she was beaming with joy seen the total swap that just happened " did the Vaseterm do something? Or what just happened? What could do this? " Dreamcatcher looked back to the red star for a moment, this was so strange but it felt like in a good way, not long ago it felt like everything that could go wrong was happening but now maybe the table had turned? " Yay! I don't know what happened but whatever it was I think was something good "
The Dreamer prince went to start on his way when Rage spoke up " huh?! What? Huh?" Danieru stood there rubbing the top of his head and pointing at the two boys, one moment they both were Nightmares but now the Silver hair one was a Dreamer and feral Nightmare was now the purple hat guy Nightmare.
As soon as she knew Boreas heard and understood what she had said, Crystal turned and began her search.
The girl moved away, crouching and sorting through a scattered pile of mess and clothes. ‘We’ll be alright, everything is going to be fine.. We just need to find that sword..’ she kept thinking to herself, hoping if she thought it enough she’d eventually believe it.
When it proved Scarlet wasn’t in the area she was searching in, Crystal stood and started looking somewhere else. She kept taking glances over at Jason, Boreas, and the Vanguard, her heart pounding almost as loud as the blaring music. ‘Where is she..?’ the girl thought, ‘Where would I hide if I was an evil, bloody cursed weapon..?’ She scanned the store a bit more when Edgar shined his light, quickly catching sight of some of the odd scrawling. Crystal soon noticed the one she could make out, and immediately chose to turn away from it.. ‘N-no.. I’m not dying.. Not today, not tomorrow, not for a long time..’
Crystal went and moved yet again, needing to keep going to keep /herself/ going and distracted from how terrible and scared she felt.
Terra is still there, sitting on Rahab and holding on to Fiona... He briefly glances around as they enter the strange force field and the black birds and cutthroats are repelled. Not that he even really notices that right away... or much of anything, for that matter. He does feel a stark shift in atmosphere, however. //... We're not back at the palace, are we? No... we can't be... What is this place, though...? ... I don't know anymore... But we left Eira behind... She's not going to make it, isn't she... Will she...?// He thinks to himself.
Just then, he gets a call from his Fairfin. //Heeyoo, you better not be freaking out Terra, I know how you are, but I'm right here with Eira! Sure we're not right there with you, but we're behind you guys! We're both alright!//
Terradream doesn't reply at first. //... She's... not dead...?// he thinks, then answers Sparky with a simple, //... Ok...//
After sending his call to Sparky tries to move around carefully in Eira's claws/paws to see if there's a peephole anywhere for him to look out through.
Morning Glory, meanwhile is still trying her best to help the red king as best as she can. "Can you try to calm down for me? Try taking deep breaths, deeeep breaths... Try not to panic--you're going to be ok," she sweetly says, quickly trying to think on what more she can do, but not just for Crimson now. She glances back at Terra and Fiona too, and starts to wonder about the rest of her friends, including her own partner. It's starting to hit her that she isn't aware of anyone else's situation at the moment. //Anna? Anna, how are the boys doing? What's it like over there?// she calls her fellow Fairfin, planning on calling the other people she's linked to one at a time.
After briefly glancing to Crystal, Boreas narrowed his eyes... He could hear the sound of Jason's voice over the blaring music--but not what he was saying. The Captain blinked momentarily, then decided to go out on a limb with what he knew about the orange haired boy, "WHAAAT? COULD YOU REPEAT THAT?" ...He hoped if Jason were actually able to fight being under control he would respond... That, and it doubled as a distraction.
Then he focused on his magic again, attempting the thing that came to his fuzzy mind the quickest--trapping Jason's feet in ice.
"Onwards! To--" Dreamweaver began to cheer, pointing at the red star in the distance, until Danieru speaks up again, and now the Nightmare finally notices him. "Wait--Danny?!" Weaver exclaims as he turns around on Catch's back to look, and yep, there's the Forsaken Lord of Rage. "Hey, when did you get here? Uh... Were you here this whole time?" he asks with a rather concerned but still silly smile.
Danny rubbed his head a little longer before putting down his arm " I was going to ask you the same thing but Nightmares do weird things, I just didn't expect your true form to look like that, I was thinking you have a hat on " the Forsaken Lord then rubbed under his chin in thought " then again I seen Nightmares wear stuff before in that form but not like a hat like yours, it kinda disappointing, you could be the Nightmare Hat or something like that "
Catch stopped when Rage spoke up, his eyes widened, he almost forgot that he promised this guy he help him, but for now he let Weaver do the talking.
Anna was finally able to rest her wings and landed on Catch head, she patted his forehead seen that he looked nervous but she looked up when she got the call from her friend, which Glory was coming though every clear then before // Glory! I hear you! Something happened! There was this red light and then Weaver and Catch back to being alright! What happened? Are you guys alright? //
The red king turned his head to see what had padded him, everyone was trying to calm him down but he was terrified, however his helmet hid the painc on look on his face but his eye was now glowing a different color, it was a green now.
In hearing what the tiny Bellezza said the red king was trying to calm himself but he didn't really know how, he should though shouldn't he? Didn't this happen before? Something like this happened, he knew it did but what happened?
Things started to feel differently when the group got deeper into the Garden, it felt oddly familiar to him, but it wasn't until Rahab landed that the red king was able to feel the rhythm of the Griffin breathing //.... is that it?.....I... don't remember... // his breathing went from choking like he couldn't breath to more deep wheezing, was he doing it right?
"It... Looks like a park...?" Fiona muttered, still very much stunned after everything. As she kept quickly glancing around their surroundings, and then to the group around her, she was feeling the effects of whiplash: near-death experiences to tranquility.
Well, other than poor Crimson wheezing now. Along with Glory, Fiona had been realizing how she had no clue how anyone around her was doing... And she hated that. But she joined in with the Fairfin in trying to calm Crimson down, because that was the biggest thing they needed to fix. He was the one they had been trying to rescue, after all! "Hey, hey, yeah... You're alright now--we're safe here." She added onto what Glory was saying, leaning so that Crimson could see her better... Though, the Elemental didn't know what to think of his one green eye glowing in his helmet. Even with her scrambled mind, that didn't seem right...
But either way, she started taking deep breaths as an example for him, "Deeeeep breaths, in... And out..."
Edgar pike up some clothes, he spotted some red drops but after a closer look they were just from a bottle of red fingernails paint that was broken, he then moved on in his search in which he came across one of Jason smoke dispensers that was still blaring music and pumping out smoke, the drone simply picked up the device and turned it off then attached it to himself, because that just what he does, One down 5 more to go!
Do to the hole in the ceiling the smoke was being pulled up to it revealing a better idea on were the noisy device were located.
After moving some more clothes on the floor revealed red drops, they looked to be heading deeper into the store away from the battle and the light from the hole in the ceiling.

The Vanguard didn't take her eyes off of Jason as Boreas yelled at him, but she wondered if he wasn't up to something. An annoyed look came on the orange hair boy face with Boreas yelling at him, how could he not hear him? He was doing his best villain impression, but Boreas did have a beard so he must be old and hard of hearing " THAT WAS A CRITICAL HIT BUT IT WASN'T VERY EFFECTIVE! IS THAT ALL YOU GOT?" He then over Exaggerated his taunt
the Vanguard then blink, even being controlled Jason was still a nerd but it was distracting him enough for the ice to do its thing.
//Am I hallucinating all this right now?// Rahab craned his neck to look back at his passengers, counting to make sure they were all there and seeing how they were doing after everything. He straightened abruptly when he realized that Eira wasn't right behind him, and he looked around in a mini panic for a sign of his sister. Then he saw her fly in, though from a different direction than he had come, but he exhaled in relief. //Thought I had messed up real bad there... Thank the moons.// Focusing back on his passengers, Crimson definitely seemed worse than the others with his choking on air and then wheezing. The griffin slowly lowered himself onto his belly. "Alright, you gotta get him off. Might be something to help him inside the castle [he didn't consider that the word would seem out of place to them who couldn't see the castle]. Also I'm gonna fall over in a minute here so you don't really have another option."
Eira landed on the grass and looked around, bewildered by the beautiful and so out-of-place garden. She saw the castle the same way that Rahab did, but she also saw a moon floating above each of the four angels around the fountain, and the garden and forest filled with floating lights and magical looking flowers and critters. "What... is this? It's a hidden sanctuary full of magic... How did the people never see this?" The griffin opened up her hands to release Sparky, giving him a quick look-over to make sure he was okay. "Thanks for bearing with me there. I didn't know if you'd be able to get through the birds' trap all on your own," she explained.

05 Sep, 2021, 5:56 pm

05 Sep, 2021, 6:01 pm

05 Sep, 2021, 6:50 pm

05 Sep, 2021, 7:56 pm

05 Sep, 2021, 10:54 pm

{..Hmm... the gamessss he plays has the greatest rewardsss but at the highestsss costs.... } looking back towards the Escaping group, how little did they know what almost took place today... but he also understood something the devil didn't want to, that even with all the planning and Scheming this time was different...
{...he would be greater if it wasn't for his recklessnesss and arrogance...hisss mind is of a youth, he clever and issss boldsss putting into actionsss when others waitsss.... } he let out a mixture of a sigh and growl as he see the bright red light illuminated the sky pulling back the clouds and revealing the darkness below and he added {
... but now things are coming undone... he did notsss heed my warningsss and now it isss awakenssss...}
06 Sep, 2021, 12:43 am
The Raven now seems oddly pleased in some way as the red light beams down, exposing the darkness, but particular comments the Seeker made then irritates him. He ruffles his feathers some. {... He is incapable of being greater... Such is his nature... His impatience and foolishness will only ever lead him to his own humiliating failure, just as it has now...}
But now the Raven pauses slightly, before giving a command. {Do not pursue these chosen ones any further, Vex has lost his game at this point... Let him wallow in his defeat, as history repeats itself once again...}
06 Sep, 2021, 12:43 am
Some nasty noises came from the Seeker as he think on how to reply, his master was Irritated and he knew to choose his words wisely... {...hmm... clearer Reflectionssss this time yessss...but nonesss have been as perfectsss as him...} The demon knew much, far more then what could be seen and known right now and in a way understood more then his master {... try and plansss but itss will notsss be as which it wassss... do not letsss your sightss blindssss you from your goalssss...}After giving his warning the Seeker ceased fire with his turrets and said { if this is yoursss wish then I willsss do as you desiresss Felsss king...}
The turrets had stop but the birds were a different story, some still pursued aggressively as the few that had joined the group later broke off and went about their own way, other birds were confused do they go to or keep playing as others birds just got even more tick off and Reckless, not giving up on their Pursuit
06 Sep, 2021, 12:44 am
{... No, there has not yet been one as perfect as he was... but one can be molded to perfection...} the Raven smoothly replies to the Seeker, seeming to relax a little, just a little, as the abomination obeys. The black bird tips his head to the side almost smugly, and continues, {All of my planning will not be in vain... Do you not see it already? The ones chosen to play the roles are falling into line, and are nearly ready for the encore...}

As Seeker listened to his master he turned back to the escaping group, Rahab was no longer in sight but Eira and Sparky were visible to his Senses still, he made an unsettling gurgling sound at what the Raven said, the abomination knew his masters well but he was the Seeker not the planner {... similar yesss, but ..... I am weary of himssss and the case issss not the samesss... treadsss with caution for I sense there maysss be more then the Deceiver at play... }
06 Sep, 2021, 12:44 am
{Caution...?} the Raven huffs, {You assume me to be the one who is reckless, now...? I have watched and waited thousands upon thousands of years, carefully studying my enemies and setting things in place to ensure my own success, there is none who can stop me... I have exercised the greatest amount of caution in perfecting my grand scheme...}
The Raven then turns its head to the Seeker, and says, {... As for you... Seek out the lone raven hair, I doubt she will be difficult to find... Snuff out her light, for her role in this play has ended... I shall attend to my own matters...}
06 Sep, 2021, 12:44 am
The Seeker did not say more to his master, the red king and those with him was out of his sight now and there was nothing the abomination could do about that for now...
The Seeker hisss and bowed to the Raven, though his next task he felt was more of Doomardsod specialty it would set a course of events... then just like that the shadows spread around him and the darkness crept away leaving an empty street with signs of what took place, dark magic lingered in the area, the road had a Is large hole made from magic acid. Crimson first helmet lead were he left it, not far from the other trace of the red king in the alleyway.
06 Sep, 2021, 12:45 am
The Raven lingers on the lamp post for a moment longer, retaining its smug, yet proper posture, before spreading its wings and flying away to do just as it had planned...

Dreamcatcher looked back to the red star for a moment, this was so strange but it felt like in a good way, not long ago it felt like everything that could go wrong was happening but now maybe the table had turned?

COULD YOU REPEAT THAT?"
...He hoped if Jason were actually able to fight being under control he would respond...

06 Sep, 2021, 3:34 am

And out..."
...She kind of needed those too.

Thank the moons.//
Focusing back on his passengers, Crimson definitely seemed worse than the others with his choking on air and then wheezing.
