Phaze is, well, he's new to all of this. Most likely doesn't want to throw himself into danger like his gramps and his dad.
And Chlora stole his savings and he had to chase her around for weeks trying to pin her down and get back his cash. xD I mean, how would you feel if you were Phaze?
