So this is an interesting anecdote for you. I learned recently that when it rains on the oceans, a thin layer of fresh, drinkable water sits on the water's surface for some time.
I can't conirm it as fact, but apperantly, some aquatic animals rely on that layer of fresh water, because they can't handle the salt for long stretches of time.
