Re-uploaded to fix.
Every year since our kids were small we would visit a local pumpkin patch. They have a hay bale maze, lots of pumpkins, gourds, etc. And you can look at the various farm animals. (The cows are a bit anti-social, but seem to look forward to the end of the tourism season when they get to eat the pumpkins that are not purchased or donated.
The kids would usually spend a good deal of time picking out their pumpkin. And one of my daughters tends to anthropomorphize the pumpkin, giving it a name, talking to it, and giving it a funeral once it is past its prime. She doesn't carve it, but does paint a face on it.
When I saw these two I thought they looked like friends. I imagined them wondering what home they would go to, whether they would be split up, or whether they would go to the cows.
Was working on cool and warm temperature.
