That's true. I actually did increase the contrast a bit from the original picture. Not saying I couldn't improve this more, but I didn't want to stray too much from what I originally had.

If the 3DS could display in higher resolution, I would have put more effort there. In my original photo, I could zoom all the way in the tip of the flower and see all the little hair/fibres with incredible detail. I just wanted to share this with the colors community.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep it in mind as I'm drawing up my pictures. It might help improve my efforts in the long run.

This looks beautiful!!! You really captured that focus on the flower and the blurryness of the background. It truly looks like a photograph!
Re: The red N is for Netflix. I ran out of favorites to put and had a blank spot, so I just slapped the Netflix logo there haha

The blurred background works well and creates a satisfying effect. Great representational drawing

Looks great, and if you want a bit more contrast, just do it in post with a photo editing program. It is easier with blend modes.

Ooh, that's unfortunate. The salesperson wasn't wrong- for the most part- I would prefer the 2DS generally. However, I got my first 3DS Before 2DS was a thing, and quickly discovered Colors 3D, and that had me sold.

Thanks for the tip. I do use Google photos to work on my pictures. I can also use Krita to upscale the resolution. I'm currently working on upscaling one of my other recent pieces of fan art, as well as improving the details.

@TheDeputySheriff If you do not have a 3ds you can still get a feel for the 3d effect using the pinch method that they built into the gallery. Play the video to the end then use the mouse to click and hold on an area of the painting. Then you can move the mouse to adjust the 3d effect.

I appreciate the sentiment : ) People are all free to super-like what they like most, whether it deserve it or not. I'd love to see it, but there's other works from many under-appreciated artists here that I'd rather give the super-like to.
