I mean, laying on your stomach shouldn't cause THAT much pain... it hurts me a little too, but only if I layed on something like... my pillow or if a sheet or clothes was balled up under me...
This is obvious, but; you'll have to train your body to stay on it's back, when you're asleep. This might sound excessive, but you could lay between pillows or boxes, until you get use to faalling asleep on your back and having to stay in that position..

@Cleric well, it's not that i lay on my stomache
it's more like i lay on my sides
it causes all my weight to fall on that side, which hurts my ribs
