It took me quite a few paintings to feel like I was comfortable with colors, and that was after coming from another digital painting process. You are on track! The block in looked fine. It may take a bit of time with the more transparent brushes. Also, I found the round brush to be best for most things, with the bristle brush being used only sparingly for certain effects. I find it blurs if I use the bristle brush in motion with transparency. So I am more likely to use it at a larger size with less motion. For me I find that I try to use the largest brush size possible until I have to step down to get detail.

@winifred27 I am not sure yet about the Switch. I don't have a switch which may be why! My son does, but probably won't get it as he didn't use Colors when he had it on the 3ds.
On the other hand, I may eventually get it just for the beta windows version. I wish they would come out with a full windows version.

I also have the Android version, which has similar features to the eds, but with the ability to export video.
