Soul piercing eyes by The_Adjudicator
Based on a macro picture I took of a skink my friend caught in Murrieta California.
The original picture was modified using Google photos to give it a lot of color burst and visual pop. The skink is ordinarily a pale-light brown color. Except those eyes.. Even without a saturation boost, they were bright orange. Almost unnerving to look at.

FUN FACT:
While skinks are technically lizards, they are distinct in the following details; shorter legs, longer body and tail, also tail is prehensile, being used more for dexterity, and hence does not fall off as a self defensive ditraction.
What's cool is that after we had calmed it down, I got it to rap its tail around my fingers, and it was able to hold its weight, dangling by its tail alone when I turned my hand upside down. It was a really cool little lizard.
It's body size was about the length of my hand, from the wrist to the tip of my fingers, while the tail was the length of my forearm from the elbow to the wrist. In short, a little less than a foot and a half.

These ones have a prehensile tail that they can use to hold onto thing with. I had it wrap it's tail around my fingers and hold itself dangling by the tail.
