Denzel was born in a bloodline of hunters/mercenaries. His homelife consisted of a small village, however was suffering from poverty due to the location of their village causing grimm to be rather normally present. (cont)He took matters into his own hands however in a more crude sense. He decided to steal from neighboring towns and villages in order to provide for his own. He would do this regularly, as his semblance would allow him to take items without a trace (he has a black hole in his palms, allowing to take things and 'spit' them out). More and more he started to take, as this was happening he became more self righteous as if this is what he was meant to do. When his family found out, they decided to enroll him to becoming a hunter, as a lesson and punishment. Now he finds himself in Vale, where he is not exactly fond of becoming teammates with others.

Denzel seems like a guy who lives on the edge with his current occupation. ( Not to mention the ladies won't squeal on him if he took some things. ;) xD )
