Little Nightmares 2 by MeowStar

Amazing game considering there's no dialouge, it's consistently creepy, and has great music. There isn't a SINGLE cut scene in the second game of this franchise yet the game manages to keep up momentum.

SPOILERS:
I have never seen a fandom hate a character so quickly.

That ending... Six, broo....

@cleric SPOILERS for little nightmares 2
---

After everything they've been through Six betrays Mono in the end. She lets him go at the edge of a cliff, letting him fall to his doom... But, he survives. He survives and finds himself stuck in a room that he cannot leave. So, he time travels back in time and he waits, and grows, to become the Thin Man-- the villian they ran from at the end of the game.
In order to leave this room, the Thin Man calls out to his younger self, Mono to open the door.

His younget self, who travels with Six, eventurally opens the door for him. Filled with resentment of Six's betrayal, he goes after her and turns her into a monster. He tries to stop her, but his younger self frees her of this monster form and they run from the thin Man. They escape the thin man, only for six to betray Mono.

Long story short, Six inadvertently caused Mono to suffer a fate worst than death-- he's stuck in a time paradox, doomed to forever call his younger self to free his future self, but it results in six betraying and causing him to get stuck in that toom over, and over, and over--

Despite this, I don't think Six is all that bad. Mono wears a paper brown bag over his head through the ENTIRE game. In the last level, you CANNOT put a hat on him beccause he lost his brown paper bag hat during a fight with the thin

Skip ahead to the thin man kidnpaping Six, and turning her into a monster, she looks like she's in

That's an important detail.

Skip ahead to the thin man kidnpaping Six, and turning her into a monster, she looks like she's in pain.
Skip ahead to Six holding onto Mono's hand, there's too much animation of the both of them staring at each other. She hesistating to drop him. Knowing that Mono becomes the thin man after this, and he supposedly travels back in time to wait for his you ger self to open the door, that shows he has the ability to mess with time.

Six could've been a monster for 5 minutes for young Mono but the thin man could've made it a decade for her by messing with time.

So, when Six is about to frop Mono, she seed his face for the first time ever. She may have recognized him as the thin man and dropped him out a spite or to stop him from becoming the thin man (but caused it)

This is of course all speculation, but based on the animations I've seen IN GAME.
I think the time paradox is a cycle of resentment. Mono's angry at Six for dropping him and leavjng him to suffer endlessly confined in a room, by himself. And Six may hate him because he caused her pain in some way from the whole monster thing (which Mono did as the thin man to get back at her).

Besides all of that, I can see Six dropping him as the only ending to the gsme. She looks our for herself and doesn't care. You can kill the bosses in this game, in brutal (but censored) ways. They're world is horrible, and children are always in danger, so she may not see Mono of any use to her.
Tbh Six is an anti-hero. She saved the gnomes in the first game but did this in the second. She switches from from being bad to good often.

--I knew i was missing something. Forgot to mention, after Six id tsken, Mono fights the thin man and kills him. So his unknowingly kills his future self too, and THEN rescues Six.

So it's a sad paradox, caused by a misunderstanding and/or mis-information? (that's probably not a word at all...) This is upsetting and yeah, a nightmare, on many levels...
