I like it, it feels really bright but that might just be me. I'm pretty interested to know more about them if you don't mind.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were Transformers characters. These two in terms of appearance could fit in incredibly well with the Transformers from Transformers Animated, I loved the designs from that series and I would collect the transforming toys when I was younger.

That's a prerty cool idea, ngl. :O They all wear these little suits anyway, maybe it has that function? Or be able to summon a Megazord-like entity for intense battles!
