These (familiar) carp-like fairies swim in ponds and rivers, catching whatever insects fly overhead (Which are mostly mosquitos!) Therefore keeping any place they're kept in: safe for humans! But the very same people sometimes use them for food... TBH: the fairies don't taste good either, so. Yeah, Greed/Gluttony's ugly...
