For some reason, drawing on a tablet and then returning back to the 3ds doesn't hurt my hand or bother me like most artist's that come back to colors for a bit. If if the device cramps your hand, simply place it on a desk or your bed, a draw like you're drawing traditionally... (of course, in between slightly lifting it to undo and stuff...)
