Binomial name: Anodorchynchus hyacinthinus
Status: Vulnerable
The hyacinth macaw is an endangered species due to the cage bird trade and habitat loss. In the 1980s, an estimated 10,000 birds were taken from the wild and at least 50% were destined for the Brazilian market.
In 1989, the European Endangered Species Programme for the hyacinth macaw was founded as a result of concerns about the status of the wild population and the lack of successful breeding in captivity.

It looks like you're troubled to draw the right birb's eye.. Yeah I know it, since you can't see full canvas while zooming, so it's hard to get the correct position.. But I can see how useful the upcoming updates, like move tool, dodge&burn, and improved layer management...

@Cleric at least there are nice people who still concern about it.. Well, it's kinda dilemma too.. Too complex. but Us, as an artists, even can't stop them from extinct bu we can do something like this to raise the awareness..

Very nice painting! My only feedback is that you made the yellow eyering too small and a bit too dull. If you look up pictures the ring is very clear on every macaw. Other than that I love this masterpiece! I like that you put a bit of informative text next to your picture :)

Beautiful drawing! So So sad about their habitat! But if people stopped buying them, there'd be no trade! It's all to do with money! We need to Ban the caged bird trade!
