If you mean art-wise: I'm not TOO sad... More details makes the character harder to draw and to notice IMO. Simple yet cool designs catch my eye....
For example: this' a stick drawing, but I'm loving the ponytail!

Ah... a quick peak in your gallery and..
they might LOOK simple to you, but there's details I wouldn't think to add on them, too!
(Then again, most of my OC just where shirt & pants or a dress: nothing fancy, lol!) If you're worried about details, maybe either redo them and add more physical features (as clothing can cover up what/who they actually are sometimes...)
Or when making new OC, make them something fantastical: which would open the door for more details to be added to the probably immortal/super being!
