This guy's a example of being: Spirited Away. In the story, he's at first is under a Codename: "Future", then refered to by his real name, Ben. later.
After several events: Future reappears but is called by the name "Kent" by his GF..
Is it a slip-up? Yes. But it's retconned to the original DrFurtue being raptured while a random guy notices he's gone and takes his position. Ben meanwhile has been given a important purpose by the stars.
