I'm not going to go into much info about Aria's backstory, but here's something, I guess:
Aria is one of the sirens, the ocean's peacekeepers. They ease troubled life through their song. After being mistakened as threats by Greek sailors, Aria and other sirens shed their tails and moved to land to continue their work, now being dubbed "Ocean Maidens"
