As soon as Stella gave permission Shepherd then sprinted towards Stal and Euterpe exited to finally be re-united with his friend.

"OH you saw what it did to her and I don't even remember what it did to me. It's vile poison, enchanted witchcraft!"
Scoffed Euterpe
"Eu!" Called a familiar voice followed by less welcoming barks. Marco torpedoed himself in the dragon and Euterpe yelped and slapped the dog off her chest like he was some sort of bug. Though less ecstatic about seeing Marco her expression immediately changed to something unusual for herself. "Shepherd! You're alright!" Her voice softened and feeling relieved she let out a warm friendly smile.

"Yeah, how did you end up here?" He asked.

While Shepherd and Euterpe began to catch up on events, Althea had grown tired of all the antics that had been happening.

She looked startled when Octavius adressed her. "Hey whose this weirdo." She said whispering to Luxia.

When Octavius approached them, Luxia gave a beaming smile. 'Ahh, Octave!' she said warmly to the blue-haired man. 'How lovely! Do you remember when I came here 40 years ago and you helped me gather rare herbs?'

'Luxia, that was two weeks ago, not 40 years,' replied the man. He then turned back to Althea. 'That staff,' he said, more impatiently. 'Where did you get it? It's powerful - too powerful for you to be able to use it properly. And it's not rightfully yours. Did you steal it?'

Pyre nodded. 'Uh, OK, I'll try my best.' He closed his eyes, expression tensing a little as he tried to focus. It was clear that using telepathy didn't come easily to him. It was a slow and arduous effort.

While all of this was going on, Loch approached Stellarus with a curious expression. 'So, you're basically Stella? Like, from the bar? Wow, you look different. So, is there a point to this weird transformation thing or is it just to look cool?'

Althea placed her hands on her hips in defiance. "Are you accusing me of theft? Hello! Look at this place, it's full of shady characters and you're one of them. Grahams, this guy is a swindler."

Octavius folded his arms, looking just as defiant as Althea did. 'I've done many things, but I could never be accused of theft,' he stated. 'If you have that staff, then you either stole it, or you bought it from somewhere illegally,' he said in a haughty tone.

Luxia squinted at him. 'Now, Octave, does it really matter? The staff might have been yours once, but it no longer belongs to you. It's just another family honour you lost when you were exiled to this realm.'

{Stellarus grins at the inquiry.}

Stellarus: "Well, we're not just Stella. It's kind of complicated. Is there a point? Of course there's a point. Poor little Stella is defenseless in her base form, but together, we have more strength and powerful magic. Looking cool is just a bonus."

"How do we know it belongs to you? You could just be saying that." Said Althea in a rather sassy tone. "Besides yea! Grahams here is saying you're a criminal a long with the rest of these bozos. We can't trust a word you say even if this DID belong to you!"

{Dianne, overhearing the conversation, comes a bit closer to Octavius and Althea to listen better.}

Loch grinned in return. 'Honestly, I'd say looking cool is the main thing, and being more powerful is the bonus.'

Pyre didn't appear to notice Dianne walking away; he was still too preoccupied with mustering his ineffectual magic.

Octavius raised an eyebrow. 'It does belong to me. It was a treasured heirloom of the royal Hart family, passed down from my father to me on my twelfth birthday. That staff is specially designed to work for me and no-one else--'

Luxia, tutting impatiently, interrupted. 'Nobody wants to listen to you waffle on about being a member of royalty. Face it; you're not a Prince of Caelum anymore.'

"So yea that's how we ended up here." Finished Shepherd to Euterpe.
"Could be worse." Sighed Euterpe in relief.

"Yea, but Dianne has assured us that there's a way out of here, and from the looks of it we'll be back soon right?" He smiled

Euterpe shook her head in agreement and leaned in whispering. "Yea the crazy lady can make portals. Speaking of Dianne where is she?"

Althea smirked and shrugged saying. "Sorry bud, but claiming you're important and popular celebrity doesn't change a thing. Especially if no one knows about you! Ooooo nice try at sounding important though! You're best off remaining a nobody."

Stal remained standing underneath the tree, not really wanting to listen to Euterpe and Shepherd's reunion scene, but not wanting to move either. //What's taking everyone so long to get together?! And why is Pyre just standing there with a constipated expression?//

{At that, Dianne steps forward.}

Dianne: "So, that's who you are. Octavius Hart, condemned and sentenced to exile for attempted fratricide. I remember reading the story in the paper."

As his owner was distracted Marco then toom it upon himself to sit next to Stal, well not really next to but on his feet.

{Stellarus giggles at that.}

Stellarus: "Heh, I guess priorities change in peacetime. You know, we once played a show in this form. We were an instant favorite among our fans."

Luxia smirked at Althea's response. 'Yes, yes. Look, Octave, I like you just fine, but don't you go taking this girl's staff.'

Octavius started to form a retort, before getting distracted by Dianne stepping forth. He quickly turned his attention onto her.

'So, somebody from the outside world still remembers who I am,' he said thoughtfully. 'I'm sure you must judge me harshly for my past actions, but you should know that I never harmed any member of my family without reason.'

Stal immediately growled when Marco sat on his feet. He jumped up, kicking the dog away from himself. 'Get off, you stinking vermin,' he snarled.

Loch's interest was piqued. 'Played a show? What, like a music show?'

Marco did not understand Stal's request for he was only a dumb dog. Instead after promptly be shook of the dog immediately charged right back at Stal and began to playful nip and snap at the Bone Dragon.

(Btw I think Marco is on a leash so if Stal throws him he might throw Shep as well. X'D

{Dianne scoffs at Octavius' conjecture.}

Dianne: "Oh, spare me the victim act. You tried to kill your siblings for the same reason every other slimy monarch does. Power. You were jealous that you weren't in line for the throne and you tried to, "thin the herd". You royal types are all the same."

"Ughhhh this is getting boring, Dianne don't try to make him feel better by recognizing him! That's exactly what guys like him want! Attention! Trust me I should know." Grumbled Althea

Stal's eyes glowed a bit brighter as annoyance overtook him. 'F**cking mutt!' he roared, before promptly grabbing Marco in his jaws and tossing the dog several feet away, with enough force to simultaneously pull Shepherd off his feet.

Stellarus: "Of course, a music show. We were in a band. What other kind of show could it have been?"

'...I hear a great deal of judgement in your tone,' said Octavius, his tone growing cold. He ignored Althea's words, though remained aware of her presence. //If I can somehow take that staff from her, I will. It shouldn't be in her hands.// 'What do you have against royalty? Why do you think they're all the same?'

'Oh yeah, I remember you were in a band... Why don't you play anymore? Sounds like you were pretty good. Or at least had lots of fans.' Loch tried not to sound too envious at the thought. //C'mon, I play for FUN, not fame.//

Shepherd turned to his dog at the sudden yanks in his leash, but was completely off guard when amount of force in them increased enough to pull him off his feet. "Marco what are you doing- HEY waugHHHHH."
The boy landed several feet away and became dazed upon hitting the ground, while his dog just atood over him barking frantically at Stal.

Euterpe at first had a devilish grin when she saw Marco go flying but it quickly turned to displeasure when she saw Shepherd fly not far after him.
The dragoness then walked up and confronted Stal with a more than displeased grin. "Hey! Watch what you're doing Moron!" She yelled with an ear piercing owl like shriek before moving her paw to attempt to swipe at his face. Enough at least for him to feel it.

(Ohno will Loch fite now that Eu assaulted Stal? As well as insulting him? X'D )

{Dianne glares down at Octavius, not trusting him one bit.}

Dianne: "Let's just say, I've had a lot of experience dealing with monarchies."

{She then glances at Althea.}

Dianne: "Actually, Miss Downer, I think you're right. Let's go."

(I can only imagine Shepherd making Mario noises as he goes flying)

{Stellarus sighs at the thought.}

Stellarus: "Oh, we still play, but mostly when a band's guitarist didn't show up and they need a replacement. My band, well...We were just in different places at the time. One wanted to focus on his job, the other two just didn't find it enjoyabe anymore. We could have been huge, if they didn't wimp out. Talentless hacks..."

Stal flinched as Euterpe's paw connected with his face, more out of shock than anything else. 'Wha - hey, what's your problem?!' he growled, eyes narrowing and glowing brighter. 'Don't - don't /screech/ at me like that! I /need/ my hearing! Why don't you go and screech at that stupid dog? The mangy thing needs to be put down!'

He spoke aggressively, putting his face close to Euterpe's in an attempt to intimidate her.

'Geez,' said Loch. 'Sorry to hear that. You guys really sound like you could've made it big out there. Maybe you should think about starting a new band.'

As she spoke, she heard a deafening screech and turned to see Euterpe seemingly slapping Stal in the face. //Wait, what? What does that psycho owl lady think she's doing?!//

Octavius didn't reply immediately. Then he said, 'Don't you think that I and my companions deserve freedom? We might have made terrible mistakes, but it was hundreds of years ago. Look around you.' He gestured to the ramshackle village, the darkly clouded sky and distant, jagged mountains. 'Don't you think we've spent long enough suffering in this cursed place?'

"OH yea bone head!" Stal's attempt to intimidate only had to push her head towards his face. "You can beat up that dog all you want! But don't punish Shepherd, or ELSE I'll make sure your ears explode louder than your band's bombing noises!"
At that she snorted and walked away from him to check on Shepherd's condition.

{At the screech, Stellarus winces, looking over.}

Stellarus: "OOoowww, my fricken ears! Oi, Loopy! I want to be able to hear, you know so SHUT IT!"

{Dianne looks over at the group as well, having not seen what happened.}

{Dianne then turns back momentarily.}

Dianne: "That's not my place to say, Octavius. For all I know, you all eat babies and you deserve to rot in here. We can't interfere with your sentences."

'Psycho...' Stal muttered, scowling at Euterpe as she stalked away. 'Should be locked up... And the dog needs to be hit by a car.'

Loch's jaw tightened, and she walked squarely towards Euterpe. 'Hey, owl lady. What's your problem? I guess in whatever backwards land you come from, it's OK to just walk up to people and attack them like that?'

Octavius remained silent, knowing that nothing he said was likely to make her change her mind. However, he continued to stand around, his eyes every so often straying back to Althea's staff. //...If I can get it, just for a few seconds... I could do anything I want. Drive them all away, make a portal back home...//

But he didn't try to take the staff from Althea by force. He knew that, even if she wasn't the best in magic, she was stronger than him right now. He could also sense strong magic emanating from Dianne and a few other people in the group. They were more powerful than any of the exiles.

Euterpe shot an intense glare at Stal and Stella before turning to adress Loch but with an unimpressed look.
"He should watch what he's doing, look what he did to my friend here! I was only returning the favor." She said rather calmly as she helped Shepherd up.
"What happened" he muttered looking a bit motion sick.

"These idiots happened that's what." Growled Euterpe as she locked eyes with Loch.

Althea shrugs again keeping the same smirk she had before. She didn't have much more to say and promptly went to follow Dianne.
"Could you please not say my last name!?!" She whispered. "I don't want people here to know I'm related to them."

Loch broke the eye contact long enough to glance at Shepherd. 'He seems OK to me. Look, Stal wouldn't just randomly attack Shepherd. I'm sure he was just going for the dog.'

'Of course that's what happened!' Stal grumbled. 'It's not my fault Shepherd was clinging to the stupid leash. Why didn't he just let go?!'

{Dianne gives Althea a quizzical look.}

Dianne: "Why? Ashamed of your family name?"

{She then walks up to the bickering group.}

Dianne: "Hey! What's going on here?"

"All the more reason why he should watch what he's doing!" Snapped Euterpe. "Besides the leash was tied to him so he wouldn't loose grip on Marco!" And she held up Shepherd's wrist showing that the leash was indeed tied to him.
The boy yanked his arm away from her though and furrowed his brows. "Enough!" He then said as he stepped between the two. "We're wasting time here fighting, don't we all want to go home? Where's Di- Ah Dianne! It's nothing I'm fine" He winced looking quite tired at all the commotion.
"Stal was reckless and threw both Shepherd and the dog 20 feet away and in the air." Growled Euterpe cutting in. "I gave him a smack for good measure! Now he's playing victim!"
"Which you shouldn't of because I'm fine now! Dianne are we ready to go?" Said Shepherd looking irritated.

"It's not that-" Althea was cut short on her reply to Dianne as she adresses the group.
She folds her arms impatiently and stalks back over to Luxia. "Best keep you in my sights."

Stal looked grouchy, but didn't add anything to the conversation. Loch, however, was not so keen on staying quiet.

'Yeah, can we hurry and get out of here? I don't wanna spend any more time around /her/ than I have to,' she said, while jerking a thumb over her shoulder at Euterpe.

At that moment, Pyre walked over to the group. 'Oh, are we all gathering together now? That's good, I won't even have to use any telepathy,' he said brightly.

Pyre: oh uh... you look happy.. :> )

Luxia just blinked innocently at Althea. 'Why? I don't need watching. Oh, are we going home soon?' Her tone changed immediately, becoming warm and cheerful like Pyre's. 'That's wonderful! I'm sure your parents must be missing you.'

As she rambled, Octavius made eye contact with her. A moment of silent communication seemed to pass between them, and then Luxia shook her head, very slightly. Octavius looked frustrated, but said nothing.

{Rubbing her face in a tired manner, Dianne adresses the whole group.}

Dianne: "If we have everyone, let's go. Let's stop wasting time bickering and head out. The front gate's this way."

{With that, she starts walking for the entrance.}

Dianne: "Stella, Euterpe, Shepherd, Luxia, you're with me. The rest of you can ride on the wyverns."

'Hey, I'm a dragon, remember? I'm not riding on some creepy wyvern,' said Loch. As they began to make their way towards the village exit, she smoothly shifted to her seven-foot-tall, green and brown dragon form. 'I don't get much opportunity to fly at home,' she added, grinning.

"Right" Said Shepherd quickly dragging both Marco and Euterpe with him before the two could cause any trouble.
That didn't stop Euterpe from at least making a sour face at Loch as they stalked away.

{As they got to the entrance, Dianne shifted to her 20 foot dragon form and lowered herself to allow everyone to get on. The draugr simply stood in formation, waiting for the rest of them to embark.}

As they left the village, Luxia walked at the back of the group, muttering to herself. Just then, Octavius hurried over and grabbed her shoulder.

'You're the one who knows how to make the portals,' he whispered, too low for anyone else to hear. 'I've asked you before, but you always said no. But you have to. Once they're all gone, come back, and set us all free...'

Luxia paused, a moment of indecision passing across her face. But then she shook her head and shrugged his hand off her shoulder.

'Ha! Do you think I'd reconsider my decisions so easily, Octave? Regardless of how you feel now, you made terrible, awful mistakes in your youth. And you cannot be trusted. Besides, I cannot free your companions, who have done far more terrible things than you.'

She then walked away, rejoining the rest of the group. Humming cheerfully, she climbed onto Dianne's back and waited for takeoff.

(That'll be my last post for tonight, guys! I need to get some food and wrap this up.
It's been a nice RP, next session we can get home. X))

Shepherd was a bit dazed at Dianne's transformation but was hurried along by Euterpe before finally boarding for flight.

Althea strolled pretty casually to her Wyvern, and almost dropped her staff on the way on one, but managed to catch it.
