Really appreciate your encouragement, guys. All this experimenting has left me somewhay up in the air, but I believe I hit firm ground with this one. We shall see. @Johnson: Not a dwarf, but the start of a Vasily Polenov study I abandoned. :)
@Cheechoo: While I seriously appreciate your comment, I'm gonna have to cry "blasphemy" here. :) Freidrich is one of my personal heroes. But yes, his influence is in my work. I guess this is a mashup of Freidrich, Turner and possibly Grimshaw. ;)
@Eclair: Haha... I love this kind of palette. I guess I didn't feel it would resonate with others as well. It's nice to be wrong as this is still one of my personal favourite pieces. Cheers.

Your paintings look more like oil paintings than anything digital. I look forward to seeing what you have for us to see next.

epic

dreary? The sheer opposite! Enormously rich, dark, colors. Reminds me of classical masters of English landscape painting but with more "balls". Whow!

Nice bonus dwarf in the beginning ^^ I like the warped perspective on this, like a wide angle lens!

This is awesome. Kinda reminds me of the weather we've been having here all week, except far more epic and beautiful.

Awesome! Reminds me of that famous Casper David Freidrich painting.. 'the Wanderer over the Mist' Only, you're better than him!

Thanks, dudes. @CarltonArts: Sorry, I missed your question. But yeah, I dabble in acrylics and oils, but not half as much as digital. I'm lazy. :)

Wow, the picture leaves a very strong impression and it's dramatic and natural. What could possibly be wrong with the palette?
