They huge tusks! ( Well, huge to them. :'] ) They use these for digging for water and for defense against predators.
Their long snouts are used as an extension to grab things like grass, sugarcane, and for drinking water.
They can trumpet as well when they're happy, alerting to danger, or to intimidate.
The babies stay close to their parents, and don't leave their side for anyone unless they give the ok.

They can suck up a lot of water through their trunks, causing them to grow in size. Then fire it like a jet stream that can blow even humans back! If you keep one, they'll mostly try this to help protect you. *^*
