this dream gets really disturbing and gore-y so if youre not okay with that, please step away now

so the start of the dream, i dreamt i was watching a virus investigation vid on youtube by SomeOrdinaryGamer, hes done a lotta those
it was a virus called "Dextris", and he warned that it was incredibly destructive, masking as an antivirus or any sort of helpful program but then quickly encrypting abd destroying all your files when run, along with displaying intense flashing lights and gore filled images
when watxhing the video, i appARENTLY REALIZED MY DAD HAD DOWNLOADED THE VIRUS ONTO HIS PC (wgich would never happen since hes the most careful/big about internet safety guy i know, he wouldnt dowload random antiviruses)
tge only way to get rid of it was a certain antidote program called "detecter", you need to run it to delete the virus because manually deleting it would not work and cause it to run, ur basically screwed if youve already ran it tho

so i went to warn my dad but he was "not home/at work" (more on that later) and thus i instead told mom
she was rlly confused and i told her bout the video, dad wasnt home/hadnt told her apparently about it, then i went and turned on my dads pc to see what the damage was
the desktop had changed to a mess od rainbow pixels galore, and i didnt see any of my dads files ezcept for one in the corner,,,, dextris
i immediately went to google to try and get the detector program but dextris launched itself and started speaking?? i dont remember exactly what it said but it was very taunting thats for sure
i managed to get the detector downloading while dextris was talking, but then the screen turned blaxk and i suddenly was Not in my parents bedroom, but instead in some sorta blank space
the frickin science team from hlvrai was there???? along with a few random people, some young and one specifically an adult,,,, and my dad too
we had a collective panic, apparently we'd all been [cont.]

sucked into our pcs (or for hlvrai characters, already in pc but unable to warn gordon about dextris)
and after that things are kind of a hard to remember mess but i specifically recall the dream felt long as all hell, lotta stuff happebed in it such as all of us teaming up to find a way out, dextris showing up to talk to us multiple times (sentient virus sorta thing), finding out everyone there had gotten dextris either as an antivirus or to mess with it in vmware, and then we were all in a collective, networked pc space
my dad's pc was the only one who had the detector program, so either me or him had to find a way to activate it from within (i think my mom couldnt or she'd get sucked in too)
then, after a plan of sorts was put together, dextris showed up, yeeted us into a dreary forest full of weird corrupted program monsters, and told us we had ten minutes before everything would just get deleted
the program monsters were rlly nasty,,in some areas they were a vomit of [cont.]

multicolored glowing pixels (like broken textures?) with polygonal bodies, while in others they were fully flesh and blood that was rotting away to show their internal organs, like zombies,,,, it was freaky but didnt disturb me much in the dream for some reason
the science team (just dr. coomer, tommy, and bubby btw) collectively decided to protect the other people there who couldnt fight (since all but one were Kids), while me and my dad ran off to try n find a way outta the forest
we encountered more increasingly disturbing monsters along the way, with violent, likely seizure inducing flashesof color in the sky and in any puddles/water on the ground
eventually, the forest turned super polygonal, and me and my dad fell through the floor into a space with dextris, whixh was representing itself as a weird, terraria-esque red and veiny, one eyed squid monster
dextris taunted us and told us we'd have to get to the desktop to succeed, told us that wouldnt happen, and then [cont.]

filled our vision with intense flashing and spinning, gorey visuals thatd make anyone feel sick
my dad fell unconscious, but for some reason i was,,,, perfectly fine
reasoning: i just closed my eyes as tightly as humanly possible
dextris was confused as hell and kept sending that stuff my way, but it didnt work, so then it decided i was too much trouble and outright tossed me out of the pc, back into my parents room
then it cut back to the people still stuck in the forest,, they were losing quite a bit
apparently we all only had 3 minutes left, and that was made evident by the fact people were mutating into horrible, bloody monsters like the ones they were fighting
tommy had gouged his own eyes out due to them swelling out of their sockets. and was vomitting what looked like wires
meanwhile, open wounds were appearing all over coomer, and his left hand mUTATED INRO A ""FISH""???? IT HAD EYES ON IT, WAS MADE OF SKIN, AND HAD A MOUTH THAT WOULD TEAR ITSELF IN TWO WHEN IT OPENED

sO UNDERSTANDABLY, EVERYONE WAS SCREAMING
then it cuts back to me abd my mom, mom's computer monitor was displaying what was happening in the forest, and the only one who wasnt affected by all that (hed ran off) was the singular adult i mentioned earlier
i tried to get to my dad's pc, but there was like,, an invisible barrier barring access, i had to strain to reach the mouse
my glasses had also disappeared, which leaves my vision absolutely abysmal and thus i couldnt see what was going on very well
i went to the desktop and there were broken icons everywhere, every single folder and file had been placed on the desktop and i was supposed to find the detector program amongst that
dextris taunted me saying that the program was right beside where its file was on the desktop, so i clicked and dragged around files to try and unbury the dextris program, whilst my mom directed my blind a.ss
the sole person who wasnt mutated (my brain wants to call him "neo" so sure) was apparently able [cont]

talk to me and mom through mom's monitor, and was cheering us on
i remember neo tried to make a joke (dont remember it) that's punchline was "or im not gay" to lighten the mood, before my mom bitterly said "everythings gay at this point" cuz shes a homophobe irl fhfkdbdydkd

after that, i dont know if this dream had a good ending or not because i woke up before anything else happened >:(
BUT YEA WHAT YHE HELL WAS THAT????? AND HONEATLY I WASNT TERRIFIED IN THE DREAM NOR AM I TERRFIED IN THE SLIGHTEST RN, JUST CONFUSED LMAO
