the only sound was the soft crunch her paws made as they hit the frozen grass. When she got to the lake what she saw in the water almost made her fall in! She saw a wolf that looked just like her only it had two deep blue stripes on her ears and one on her muzzle, but what was really bewildering were the eyes the went from the deep green of an emerald to the tinted gold of a normal wolfs eye and into a deep lushious brown! She stood their for a minute to shocked to move when she saw something else in the waters. another wolf, but tjis one was green. all green. Bane looked up and she saw the wolf, they locked eyes for what seemed like an hour but was only a second and then the green wolf bolted off leaving no sign of it ever being their. Bane was so aghst with what had happened that she curled up into a ball and thought of how she would explain this to Tanner. As she thought of this she let slip the image of the green wolf. Tanner found her later that day in the same position, when he walked up to her she yelped, "NO, DON'T LOOK AT ME! i'm hideous." Tanner had never heard such nonsense in his life. "now," he said. "why would i ever beleive such things? you are beautiful and always have been." Bane jumped up, showing herself to him, tears brimming her eyes "look at me im a freak. you could never say this is normal! how can you ever love me now?!?" she said in a small voice. Tanner looked at her with love in his eyes. "Bane their may be some who will look upon this as freakish but you must learn to make everything thing you are given, not into a curse or a burden but as a gift. like you, you were the best gift i was ever given, and i will always be grateful for that. indeed some may see this as odd but all i see is a beautiful wolf who i will always love. no one is ever ugly." then in an almost haunting wisper said, "you. are. beautiful."
