Before he could finish, a young and especially hotheaded werewolf named Garth came stomping over. He was in beast form, a massive wolf-like monstrosity nearly six feet tall. Growling threateningly, he began to edge towards Den in a challenging manner. //This is OUR place,// he thought, angry at finding this unknown dragon in his territory. //Mason's got some nerve, bringing this pipsqueak here...//

Luxia gazed at Althea for a moment, then turned to Stellarus and spoke as if the girl wasn't even there. 'My, it certainly does talk a lot, doesn't it? ...I would like to leave her behind, but unfortunately, I promised the dragon child that I would bring her back safely,' she rambled. 'However, nor can we abandon our search for the others. Ginger /must/ come with us.'

Denarius jumped back in fright. The approaching werewolf was enormous in size and something that had caught the little dragon off guard. In those seconds of fright and intimidation, the Denarius' did what looked to be a hiccup. A short burst of flames came from his mouth, this was actually more of mixture of shock and surprise towards the oncoming beast.

"Hrk- Hey! I'm right here you know!" Huffed the elf in frustration. "Unbelievable, alright fine! If that's the sort of payment you want."

Garth let out an undignified yelp and jumped backwards, sounding like a puppy that had just trodden on a thorn. The smell of singed dog hair filled the room, where Den's flame had caught some of his pelt. He stared at Den, ears pricked with a mixture of surprise and anger.

'Back down, Garth!' said Mason warningly. But again, the young werewolf ignored him and lunged at Denarius, jaws trying to get a grip on the dragon's neck.

(He won't actually hurt Den by the way, he's mostly just annoyed and trying to scare him. XD)

Luxia smiled. 'Good! Very good! Now let's go before we end up spending the night here. This ravine's not very pretty.' Considering the situation resolved, Luxia turned and continued walking in the general direction of the village.

Denarius also made quite a yelp as well. A cold shrill came from the small dragon as he cried out in agony and fear.

Garth got his jaws around Den's neck and shook him vigorously, like a dog playing with a chew toy. However, at Den's shrill noises, he jumped in alarm and immediately dropped the small dragon on the floor.

'Shut up, kid,' he grumbled after shifting back to human form. 'I wasn't gonna kill you.'

'Well, you didn't need to give him a heart attack either...' Mason muttered.

(Mason: You'll be safe with me ;)

Den: *gets tossed around like a puppy* )

(Werewolf pack induction. :DDD
Garth: YOU'RE NOT ONE OF US UNTIL I'VE BEATEN YOU UP)

Den looked as though he was about to break down. "I-I think I want to go home now." He mumbled all shaken.

Garth looked a little uncomfortable. 'Look, kid, don't worry about it. I didn't want to hurt you, I just didn't like Mason bringing some random dragon into our, y'know, /secret/ hideout. It's all good now, I'm sorry, OK?'

(Garth: oh shi- I made him cry)

(*big angry werewolf attacks small dragon and makes him cry*
'Oh god wait I didn't mean that stop looking all sad--')

Den shook his head and stared with big eyes at the werewolf. The dragon now seemed more scared to say anything more especially with all the eyes on him.

Mason spoke up, his voice clear and authoritive. 'Everyone get back to your business. Have you nothing better to do than gawk at guests?'

Slowly, all of the werewolves except Garth and Mason dispersed, some returning to tasks around the hideout while others disappeared back into the tunnel network.

'I'm very sorry about that,' said Mason to Den. 'Garth can be... unpredictable at times. Nobody will try to attack you again.'

//Not unless they wish to lose a few teeth,// he thought grimly, knowing he would react poorly if anyone attacked Den in a manner more violent than Garth had.

Den stood there like a scared dog. "Ok... can we go somewhere's else now..."

Thoughtfully, Mason went over to a door at the other side of the hideout. Opening it, he revealed a small, cosy-looking room. There was a bed, plush carpets on the floor, several cushions, and a shelf lined with numerous books. It was lit by a few LED lights, much like the rest of the underground.

'You can stay here for the night, if you like. It's perfectly safe and no-one will disturb you. Then, first thing in the morning, we'll go back to that mansion and reunite with your friend. How about that?' he suggested.

He was hoping that Den would agree to stay, despite Garth's unwelcoming display. Letting the young dragon wander the streets alone at night sounded like a bad idea.

'They /are/ nice,' said Mason in the most soothing tone he could muster. His annoyance at Garth had barely dissipated. 'It's just that... some of them take a little bit of time to warm up to strangers. Garth is particularly mistrustful of strangers. He's had a difficult life. But he won't be mean to you anymore, I promise that.'

(I am used to typing on a DS. XD
But DS comments do have a character limit, so I can't write too much.)

"Ok...." mumbled Den tired and wary. Though one could tell that from his posture and tone that the dragon was now having seconds thoughts about the oack of werewolves. But he didn't compain anymore and seemed to be content on the bed, there had been too much commotion for him to even wabt to to attempt to leave anyway, so he stayed put.

(Oh yea, is tge character limit longer for the comments then it is for the desc? )

(Yes it is. I think on DS, the comments are only limited by the character limit of the DS keyboard itself.
I rarely hit that in RP posts though. I have when trying to write stories on here.)

Mason decided to give Denarius some space. 'I will be in the other room. Call me if you need me; I'll hear you.' He walked to the door and began to let himself out.
