1. Esme was born into a tribe of wild Shifter Dragons. When she was just a few weeks old, the tribe was attacked by hunters and most of the members, including her parents, subsequently died. Esme was found unconscious and alone on a mountainside by Armin, and later adopted by Dianne ( @Xenoceratops's character).

2. As a Shifter Dragon, she is capable of shifting into a human form. However, she's currently much too young to do this.

3. SD's are omnivorous, but Esme prefers fruit over all other foods. She's a picky eater. Her favourite fruits are mango, peach, and watermelon.

4. Esme is selectively mute. While capable of talking, she very rarely does. She only chooses to speak in the presence of very trusted people, and only when she needs to say something that can't be communicated any other way. Around less trusted people, she only communicates with squeaks and growls.

5. She's generally fearless, but certain things can scare her. These things include: the sight of blood, creatures much larger than her, being alone/abandoned, and highly crowded areas.

6. Has a slightly better sense of smell than the average Shifter Dragon, able to easily determine someone's species (dragon, werewolf, human, etc) by scent alone.

7. As a result of being so young, she has only fragmented memories of what happened when the hunters attacked her tribe. She is unaware that most of her tribemates are dead. As she gets older, she'll likely forget what little she still remembers. Someone will need to explain to her - once she's old enough - where she came from and what happened to her biological parents.

8. Her birth name is Calluna. When Armin first found her, he had no way of knowing what her name was, so he called her Esme (short for Esmeralda).
