@nacepry thanks, and also i have a question,
i was trying to use a shading method simular to yours, so how am i suposed to shade already dark colors? (in all honesty i think the shading was a bit of a flop)

@Insertgoodarthere for the beginning your shading is actually good, please don't be afraid and try to shade more areas :)! It really hard to shade something what's already pretty dark, for dark colors you can use light shading/highlights. Or you can make this dark color a bit brighter for example: black to a grey/blackish do you can use a really dark blue to shade it
