For those who have not been introduced yet, this is Alan (Penguin) and Collin (Raccoon). The two live in a city of animals, although it is situated within a human world. Alan is a wannabe sleuth out to prove his worth, while Collin is his friend who just wants in on the adventure. When Alan is not in the middle of an investigation, he picks up odd jobs to raise money for rent.
