Made his character for him. It's a cool warrior ready to fight the bad guys and protect the innocent.

Hey that's how he drew him. To be a human/dragon hybrid. Have you ever seen animes or any cartoon that have characters that are human/dragon hybrids? They can have a human appearance and still have dragon characteristics (i.e. wings (which is on top of his hat), tail, horns, teeth, etc.). It doesn't have to be a full on reptilian appearance with human anatomy. ;)

Oh they do draw real animals and put them in anime or mangas. Ranging from animals that you see in everyday life, human with animal ears, tail, wings, etc. attached to them, and animals with human anatomy and intelligence (Much like what we draw sometimes). They are no stranger with drawing real life animals in anime or mangas and definitely not a stranger with drawing furries and scalies. XD

Bueno, pero ponerle cola a un humano y decir que es un dragón me parece un diseño muy flojo. Y es muy obvio que es luigi. XP

Nah. That's not being lazy. That's being creative with the design and not just boringly or stereotypically draw the character as just that. A full on dragon, tiger or whatsoever without any special design to set them apart from the rest. That's what he doing with his character and he succeeds. The point what I'm getting at is it's best to be crestive with your character than to just be stale with just using one type of design. That's what I'm trying to achieve with mine. ;)
