Terra again goes quiet as Fiona explains what she knows, making sure to write down every little thing in his notebook, though he frowns as he does so. "... S-so Nightmares aren't just corrupted Dreamers..." he starts, mumbling quietly at first, and gradually looking more and more distressed as he goes on, "But if Light Eaters, o-or Nightmares, are parasites that eat a Dreamer's heart reflection, wh-what happens to the Dreamers...? Eater said he saw and killed Weaver i-in a dark crystal in Void's palace, and other Dreamers too, yet, Weaver's not gone, h-he's able to have a bit more control over his body now... O-or, I guess, he's back /in/ his body, if he was trapped there, and Eater freed him...? ... Are all the Dreamers back in their N-Nightmare bodies now...?"

Fiona frowned worriedly as she listened to Terra. She knew why the topic distressed him, and she shared in some of it as well. "I'd guess so...? I'm not really sure... Agh, I wish I'd seen that crystal thing!" The Elemental stopped briefly, looking to Terra with concern, but she eventually continued anyways, "...If Nevaeh saw Weaver's soul, then that had to have been the Dreamer's souls trapped in that thing. I... I don't really know a lot about souls, but... Them being stuck there has to have something to do with what those Light Eaters do, right...?"

Boreas gave a nod of thanks to Osiris before heading towards the two, and Sparky, as he was experimenting with the tablet. The captain could tell Terra and Fiona were talking about something important... But he had something important he needed to do, too. "'Scuse me, you two. Don't mean to interrupt too much, but...
Fi, I need to get into your hair."

Ethan being the voice of reason as he was, agreed that all of them going was likely not a good idea nor just rushing off was one ether " I think not trying to overwhelmed him would be a good idea...we don't even know what condition he in right now.." he looked to the dragon shapeshifter " you should know from experience that waking dragons isn't favorable..."

Jasmine glare at the wolf boy, knowing that last comment was poking fun at her " what that Supposed to mean?!" She growled bearing her fangs.

Jason put up his hands " Whoa, Whoa, cool it down a little... Ethan and lady C here got good points " he then snapped his fingers coming up with an idea " well we can always call! That way we can save a trip "

Jasmine pulled her eyes away from the Ethen and then glare at Jason " or how about we get back to work in finding Scarlet again? Hmmm, "

Jason Shrugged at that " yeah, you got a point about that to, but we look all morning and couldn't find her and C man could know more about her and how to find her, he is blood bond to her "

With that, Jasmine got a really bad idea " what a Second, he blood bond right? We could use him a bate "

The girl nodded to what Ethen said at first, but when Jasmine’s gaze turned sharp and she growled, out of habit Crystal mindlessly, and inconspicuously, shifted her weight on her feet and took a step back.

She stayed silent and observant for the most part, until something got her attention, “Wait, Scarlet is missing? How?”

Crystal’s eyes widened a bit and she simply couldn’t contain the slight dread that washed over her with what Jasmine suggested, “Wha..what?” she stuttered, “I.. No, we can’t use him as bait.. What if something goes wrong and he gets hurt? Or someone else gets hurt? There’s got to be something else you can do to find that sword.”

Deep in the tunnel where no light could reach, the Nightmare king was resting, his ears Twitched hearing the Distant echoes of the other ancient but he made no attempt to move, he was Laying still in his true form and he looked like a mess. Dry black blood was cake to him, his finery mane was more like smoke then fire. He made no attempt to fold his black wings and had let them lay in whatever Position he had flocked down in.

Moment passed since he last heard Waker voice but he didn't care, his mind kept playing back to his talk with Void and everything that led up to that, the battle with Crimson, the dream with Faithful, and more..it kept playing though his mind like a broken record, over and over again.

" my, my look how the mighty have fallen" Waker Taunted from the darkness

Malice maw Curled but he didn't growl, he just turned his head away from her.

Dreamwaker step forward, her eyes were the only thing that could be seen in that dark place and they glimmer with deadly Intentions. " look at you, you call yourself the king!" The Sound of a Chain cracking like a wip thunder.

But Malice did nothing

Catch nodded his head with a few things Eira told Serenity, he then added on to what his wife said and answered Fairfin " he wasn't really bleeding from the eyes, he was crying...more like Weaver was " he said the last part Quietly

" were hoping that maybe the Vaseterm have learned more about that bug, thing?..that a Nightmare really is, but first we want to check on Purity and make sure she was doing alright, she did just have a Nightmare in her dreams " Catch then look to the Dreamer as she slept // I hope Eater wasn't as cruel to you as he was to me...if anything, I think you got to see Weaver yourself... you need to stay strong to Purity, you got to hold on to, just like him //

Suzano stay quiet as the two speak with the Fairfin, she look to the door when it opened

Serenity smiles up at Eira, happy to hear there's still hope for Weaver, though she can tell there's some grief by what both Eira and her husband say. "Aww, I'm really glad Weaver's alive, but I really hope something can be done for him soon, he sounds so sad," she replies, "He's really going to need you guys to help him through these dark times, and Purity will too, but I'm sure it'll help her a lot to know Weaver is still around. You know she'd want to know."
After saying that, she also perks her antenna up and peeks her head around Eira some to try and see who's coming in.

Eira nodded in agreeement with Catch. "Those bug things sure seem to play an important role, which we ought to research at some point..." She smiled at Serenity. "Yeah... I think that'll really lift her spirits. It's wonderful news for her, and for all of us."
The shiftress turned her attention to the door as well when it opened.

A Vaseterm nurse briskly entered the room and headed towards Purity's bed, though she paused in surprise when she noticed the newcomers in the room. "Ah... You must be Master Catch and Lady Eira. Good to see you here," she said, before focusing her attention right back on her destination, talking as she approached and scribbling on a clipboard full of notes. "See, I sampled the corruption essence in her blood and analyzed it, and I recognize a very rare magic which I have studied in the past. There are only a few cases reported of this magic, and it isn't good at all." She turned around her clipboard to show them her notes, though they were hardly readable with how scribbly they were. "Research has shown that an unidentified shadowy monster injects its magic into a victim and it quickly corrupts the being, taking over in only a few days and leaving them nearly a husk of themselves, completely subject to the urges of the dark essence. The biggest problem is, we cannot remove it. No magic or spells can clean it from the victim's body - it's as if it has a mind of its own, constantly outwitting the magic and attaching itself more firmly to the host with each second that passes. There's no way to remove, no way to prevent it from its dirty work. We've learned this from three victims in the past whom we found, but even with life supports they were lost in only a few days. What this unfortunately means is that," she gestured a hand to Purity, "Unless we can discover a new cure, your friend is not going to make it."

"...Hold on," Eira spoke up, raising a hand for the nurse to pause. "There are exceptions. I, uh... I've been corrupted by the monster too. The Heart of the Abyss is its name, and five years ago it stabbed me with its darkness. However, I haven't been taken over even in all this time." She gestured to her shoulder, where the skin had been darkned and ice encased it. "This is all that there is. It's still bad, and the effect fluctuates, but that's it. I don't know what's holding it off, but if some victims fell quickly, then there must be something different about me. Maybe it's the same for Purity too," the shiftress said, looking over at the white Dreamer.

There's more he has to say on this matter, but that gets put on hold for a moment when Boreas comes over, asking for Fiona's hair. Terra doesn't say anything himself, but he does look over at the Captain and watches him, quietly curious about what he needs or plans to do.

Sparky, on the other hand, looks up and greets Boreas with another friendly, "Hello, Captain!"

Dreamcatcher nodded his head to Serenity, he knew that Weaver would need help // there has to be more that we could do for him? // he put his thoughts on hold when a nurse came in he then listened to the Exchange of words and then her explaining what was going to happen to Purity

" What?! " he Blurted out when the Nurse said there be no hope for his Dreamer friend " But that can't be true! There has to be something " he looked to Purity and then to his wife, he knew there had to be more because Eira was still alive.

When the Griffin shapeshifter told the Nurse and everyone in the room about her experience, the Dreamer prince fell Silent, he listened to his wife Explained to the best of her ability and with that a smile can to his lips // at the beginning she avoided talking about what happened... to took month for her to even let me in and now she telling Strangers, I know this has to be Nerve wracking // he glace over at Purity// but I know you're doing this to try and save Purity // and with that he was proud of Eira.

Catch then spoke up to add to his wife's Statement " Eira is right. We can't give up, there has to be something that can hold off the Hold off the corruption, what have you all Tried? There must be Similarities in the victims or something, species, magic, worlds they come from? " he was just firing off ideas

Deep thought washed over Fiona's expression, but only for a moment, as her uncle suddenly showed up. "...Oh! Hi, Uncle Boreas." She turned to him with a slight smile--her mind was still busy with rather concerning topics... She wasn't just going to forget them, either.
"Uh... Okay. What for?" The Elemental asked, pushing her hair towards him a little.

Boreas did finger guns to the group with a simple, "Hey." In response to Sparky and Fiona's greetings. Then he started digging through the storage fluff that was attached to his niece's head. "I put a certain box in here a couple of days ago. I need it to help calm Eater down--possibly build a little trust..." He mumbled.

Serenity listens quietly as the doctor, Eira, and then Catch all make their comments on the situation, and then she herself joins in with one more smaller observation of her own. "If you don't mind me adding on," the lily Fairfin starts, "Purity isn't showing very many outward signs of the corruption progressing, either, she stopped convulsing and coughing up blood a long time ago now, and despite you saying the victims lose themselves so quickly, it doesn't seem like it's spreading that quickly in her... It's just that she's still in a coma."

Everyone looked at Crystal when she said she didn't know about Scarlet.Ethan turned his eyes to the floor, then Jason made a face as he rubbed the back of his head " Uhhaha, yeah she huh kinda Excape and we don't even were she is "

Jasmine rolled her eyes at the two boys that were For sponsible and keeping the sword locked up " apparently these two can't handle two little children "

" Hay! We don't even know how they got in there in the first place, we had it locked down " Jason snapped back, giving the dragon shapeshifter a Harsh look which was very unusual for the Usual happy care free guy.

" we know it was some kind of dark magic... but /who / it was were not sure, we know Ai capable of a wide range of elements including some variety of Chaos but we still don't know what her full Abilities are..."Ethan Mumbled still looking down at the floor, his mind had played back the Scene many times, he Shuddered at Gypsy threatening him, he then thought about someone else who was there " hmm, it could have been Boo to" he thinks outloud " she has seals on her, seals are usually used to hide or hold something"

Ethan ears pind back, he agreed with the human girl " I don't think using Crimson would be a good idea either, look what happened yesterday, if that sword can really influence him, I have a bad feeling if the two got back together it be Disast'rous "

" however it happened it was the 4 of your fault and now we got a Soledormir killer sword on the loss doing moons know what " Jasmine growled folding her arms, she wasn't happy at all knowing something so dangerous was on the loss " well what else can we do?!"

//A box?// Terra ponders, even more curious now and slightly raising an eyebrow, //How would a box calm Eater down and earn his trust? What's so special about the box in the first place? It isn't something of Weaver's, because he never had anything like that... Is it something inside the box...? Hmm...//

Sparky is also curious, but he asks his thoughts out loud: "Mmmmm, is it a box of action figures?"

"...Huh?" Fiona just stared at Boreas for a moment, then blinked a couple of times, "So wait, you caught Eater? I knew you would!" She would've questioned her uncle on his idea of building trust with the Nightmare, but after all the events of that day, she didn't exactly know /what/ to think about that yet. She just knew she really didn't like Eater, and her uncle probably knew what he was doing.
"...Yeah, what kind of box is it?"

"Eh, more like he caught himself in his 'room.'" Boreas explained, which received an 'Oh' from Fiona.
The icy Elemental wasn't having much luck finding what he was looking for, so he was forced to dig further, the mass of clouds nearly coming up past his shoulder now.
"Mmmno, sad to say it's not a box of action figures... It's more of a Nightmare thing.
...Great skies above, Fi, your hair has grown more than /you/ have."
Eventually, he stood up, pulling the empty Purity brand ice cream box from Fiona's hair. With a sigh and an ever so slightly irked look, he declared, "...Eater considers this thing a 'trophy.'"

(...Also, everybody was getting ice cream, and I got ramen.

I didn't even think about how they're pretty much opposites until it was pointed out to me. XD

Then, when the Captain finds what he was looking for, Terra has some of his questions answered. //It has 'Purity' on it... I guess it kind of makes sense...// he thinks to himself, then quietly speaks up, "I hope that helps g-get Eater more under control, or at least calmed down... B-but, is that from that one ice cream place we were at a while back...? After we, uh... found you...?"

"I would've hoped the same thing--but Eater doesn't react very well to anything with Weaver right now." Boreas shrugged, frowning a bit.
"Yup. That's where this is from. Ah, right, you and my niece were pretty occupied..." He replied to Terra, then gazed at the box, using the magic translator monocle he'd had on all this time to read it. "Eater thought it was hilarious that the brand's name is 'Purity.' Nightmare humor...
He asked me about it. I'm hoping me doing him a favor will bring good results."

"...When did you put that in my hair...?" Fiona muttered, just staring at the empty box, a frown on her face. "What... Eater thought... WHAT?!" Her frown progressed into a scowl. ".../I don't like that box./"

Terra frowns at Boreas' comment about Eater, but he still stays rather quiet. "Ah... Yeah..." is all he mumbles in return, now turning his thoughts back to the events of that night, when Fiona got super hyper, and then they found Malice, completely wasted...

"Yeck, Nightmare humor," Sparky mutters, making a face before continuing, "I hope it helps somehow, good luck Captain!"

Crystals eyebrows raised a bit when all three looked at her, and she watched as the boys both started to look guilty, “Oh...” was all she could think to say at the moment.

The girls eyes shifted to each person as they spoke, watching them and listening to what they said. “It’s okay,” she said calmly after Jason snapped, attempting to give a little smile, “accidents happen sometimes, we just need to figure out a way to solve the problem.”

She got quiet again, glancing at Ethan as he agreed with her, but soon she just shook her head. “Since you can’t find her, let’s have her find us. Sort of like what Jasmine meant, just without putting Crimson at risk.. There’s got to be something that would make her come back.. Maybe something she hates and couldn’t resist the chance to attack? Because unless I’m not quite understanding properly, shouldn’t she be trying to get back? Back to the person who she can manipulate and can actually use her? I don’t know why she wouldn’t be, unless she’s waiting.. Or someone else has her.. but I don’t see how that could be it either.”

"...Storing this in your hair was a last minute decision. You'd been passed out for a while." Boreas briefly explained to Fiona, giving her a pat on the shoulder to try and help her calm down. He then nodded in agreement with Sparky, "Thanks for the luck. I'll be on my way now..." He started to back away from the group a little, but he paused, "Before I go, let me give you some good news. Just from talking to Eater, even I can tell Weaver's in there, and I never knew the guy.
But I'd suggest, if any of you go to talk with him, watch what you say. Weaver's easier to hear when Eater's not on edge."
Then he gave sort of a half-salute, half-wave, "Talk with you all later."

Fiona's scowl faded a little now, and she managed a bit of a smile, hearing Boreas' more positive comments and seeing him wave to them as he left--she waved back.
"...Ohhh... I get what he's trying to do, now." She mumbled.

Terra smiles faintly as well at the encouraging words Boreas gives them all, and slightly nods his head at his advice. //I guess even outside of a dream, that's still true, I'll have to try and remember not to call him Weaver...// Terra mentally notes, then salutes Boreas with his ribbon and simply says, "G-goodbye, Captain Boreas..."

... Yet, he still watches Boreas as he's leaving for a moment longer. Perhaps it's starting to sink in that his girlfriend's uncle is a Captain...

"Bye Captain! Take good care of Weaver while you're with him!" Sparky cheers, salutes, and then waves.

Fiona turned and wrote a small note in her notebook on what Boreas had just told them. She paused briefly, almost looking a bit troubled. But that faded too, as she glanced back up to Terra. "...Uh... What were we talking about before Boreas showed up? Souls... Right?
...I'm not sure how they ended up trapped in there... Heck, I don't even know much about them..."

Jason face slowly light up as Crystal gave her Suggestion, he was grinding at made Finger guns at the human girl " lady C, I think you might be on to something!"
Ethan thought the girl came up with a Logical Suggestion but wasn't sure why Jason was so excited.
" OK! What do we know about Scarlet and her blood bank? " Jason started "I get the feeling he really doesn't like Nightmares from how he was taking that evening... maybe we could use a Nightmare to draw her out but I only know of Eater and well...I know lady V let's him walk around but I don't know if he help or not" he then looked to the human girl again, he was there when Crimson and Crystal had their touching moments, were he dropped the sword and hug Crystal, he Narrowed his eyes coming up with a different idea " girls get jealous easily, I bet- Ouch! " he Flinch when Jasmine smack the Jason on the back of the head " we do not!" She snapped

Ethan tap his chin deep in thought, " that might work, but isn't Nightmares da.." he stopped when Jason Change the subject and then when Jasmine smack him "....." he just stood there for a moment but then looked to Crystal// use her as bate instead?..//

With Fiona's question, Terra gets back on track, and nods his head. "Y-yeah, we were talking about Dreamer souls... Specifically about h-how they ended up in a dark crystal in Void's palace..." The ghostly Dreamer hesitates a moment before bringing up the question he had thought of earlier, his expression going back to one of concern, "It... It makes me wonder though... What d-does this mean for Weaver now, if the Light Eater is in control of his body, but Weaver's soul or his mind is back in there too... I-if the Light Eater is removed, would Weaver be left in his body and regain control? ... But, still being a Nightmare, he doesn't have a physical heart, or a heart's reflection, so... If it were removed, w-would he /actually/ die...?"

Boreas took his leave, giving Osiris a quick goodbye and taking the briefest moment to glance around once more before exiting the Phoenix butler's room. With a brisk pace, he headed back to Eater's room. The Captain briefly wondered about Morning Glory in the infirmary, but he figured he hadn't given them much time to give her proper treatment...
The bigger question on his mind was... What would he come back to when he returned to the basement cells?

Dreamwaker lip Curl when she was Ignored, here she just Insulted the king and he did nothing, the question was, was Malice truly to weak to do anything or was it that even in his current state the Ancient frost still didn't have a chance?

" you really have Changed, haven't you?...How pathetic " Waker Taunted, she walked forward shifting to her true form, this was the Perfect opportunity to kill the king, she could feel it in her blood 'kill the king, kill the king' it called out to her with every breath she took with the scent of his blood but if the king was to weak to fight back, why not play with him?

" I know why you called me master" Waker say coldly, she had been waiting for this moment, she sent out her chains and blinded the king with ease" your not fit to be king any more...look at you, your more closer to a human then a Nightmare!" she Spat.
She placed her hoof on Malice's snoot and leaned down to Whisper in his ear " your nothing but a Shell of who Malice was... the Malice I knew would never be so pathetic as this" she dug her claws into him " tell me O mighty king, what will happen when I kill you?... "

The answer to Boreas' question is: Not much.

Nothing has changed much in the room, aside from the guitar, which was propped up against the wall earlier and is now flat on the floor nearby. Dreameater himself is still here in the room as well, though instead of hiding under the bed, he's sitting with his back right up against the prison bars and resting his arms on his knees. His hat is back on his head where it belongs, though it's currently being bent a little out of shape by the bars, as the Nightmare has his head raised and turned to watch the Captain come down the stairs, likely having sensed Boreas' aura coming back well before the Captain could even see Eater. For the moment, he stays uncharacteristically quiet, waiting for Boreas to say or do something first.

Malice Barely moved when Waker claws dug into his snoot, his Slit pupils didn't even look at her as she mock him.

" TELL. ME.MALICE! WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I BECOME QUEEN?!" the Ancient frost Raised her Barb chains really to Slay the Nightmare king, Waker eyes turned black as she spat " FINE! I'LL TELL YOU! IF A HUMAN IS WHAT YOU WISH TO BE THEN KNOW ILL KILL EVERYONE YOU EVER KNOW, I'LL DO TO THEM AS A REAL NIGHTMARE KING WOULD DO!! I'LL MAKE EVER LAST PERSON YOU EVER CARED FOR SUFFERN!! THEY WILL CURSED YOUR NAME AND BEG ME TO KILL THEM!! EVER LAST ONE!!" two of her Change wrapped around Malice horns and Forced him to look her in the eyes as she grin with evil " and you know who I'll start with first?.... that one you so called love~ "

Eira glanced between Catch and Serenity, grateful for their support for her, and their hopefulness and trust in Purity's recovery.

The nurse looked between them as well with an inquisitive frown. She responded first to Serenity, saying, "Mmm, while the corruption seems docile as of right now, it is difficult for me to believe that such signs are not deceitful, given the outcomes of every case I have ever seen before. However..." She turned to look at Eira, "It sounds as though there exists a rare exception. If we can investigate this further and verify your story, perhaps my mind will change and we will have a new discovery for the records."
The Vaseterm faced Catch with a thinking frown. "All of the recorded cases have no perceivable pattern. Thankfully they have never occured in this land, but our teams have found them in every other realm, of varying species and magic, with no pattern. The lady's case here is the only one that is unique, in that the corruption has not won."

The nurse returned to Eira, approaching her and already scribbling notes on the clipboard, glancing up past her glasses and taking notes of the griffin shifter's appearance. "Tell me, Lady Eira - how did the incident occur, what did you do to cope and for how long, and what symptoms do you experience of it now?"

Eira took in a breath, mentally preparing herself to answer the questions. She fumbled with her hands a bit as she responded. "Well... It was about five years ago when I uh... when the Abyss attacked me. It struck the back of my shoulder in the night, and immediately the corruption began to spread. My ice magic seemed to go out of control too, spreading along with the darkness over my body and turning my magic style from frost to dark ice. However, shortly after, the corruption sort of just... stopped spreading. It grew slowly over the four years following, and still spreads when I use my magic or shift too much. However, in this last year, apart from magic usage, it hasn't done much damage."

Fiona thought about it for a moment, "...He'd just be full of goop. Without a Light Eater to control that stuff, I think he'd just kinda be... An empty frame." She grimaced, "That's just a guess... I don't really wanna know what'd happen to Weaver if that happened...
We gotta figure out a way to get Weaver control over his own body again... He has his soul, but he's still missing a lot of stuff.
...I mean, Omen got Malice a heart somehow..." She had her thinking face on--it was extra intense.

Boreas eyed Eater's cell as he returned to the basement, quickly catching sight of the Nightmare watching him come down the stairs. "Hey, I'm 'pack.'" The icy Elemental said, "I brought your box--it's 'bin' completely safe, like I said it would be." He stepped a little closer to the bars, offering Eater his empty box.

Catch understand that this was hard on Eira, he could feel it coming off her but there was more then just those feelings of doubt and shame, he could feel a flier of Courage, the Dreamer prince stepped beside his wife and Gently put his good arm around her so that she knows she didn't have to do this alone " im right here for you. " he Whispered softly in her ear

"We'll have to find some way to purify Weaver's body if we're going to turn him back into a Dreamer..." Terra adds, writing down things in his notebook in between speaking, "Get that corruption out of him, s-somehow, and... I don't know how we'll get new organs into him and working a-after his body has gone so long without them..."
But, then he pauses a moment, thinking a little more on what got brought up moments before, now with a new idea on it. "... Or... What if..." Terra starts, narrowing his eyes slightly, "--Well, a Dreamer's heart reflection can be taken out of its body, and if it's not returned soon, the Dreamer's body will lose consciousness, and the Dreamer will be stuck in their heart reflection, o-only able to communicate by flashing or glowing... Light Eaters eat those heart reflections and take over... Do you think...
... D-do you think it's possible, that, they become a replacement for the heart reflection, in a way? Since they apparently can be removed, too... And with Weaver back in his body, he seems to feel whatever the Nightmare does... What if he's unintentionally fused with, uh... Eater...?"

Serenity scrunches up her face a little when the nurse answers her, but with her latter comments, the Fairfin smiles, quietly hopeful and optimistic that things might turn out better for her partner, and this will lead to better things for other unfortunate victims of the Abyss.

She can't help but turn a little pink at how Catch wraps his arm around Eira. //Aw, how sweet...// the Fairfin briefly thinks, but quickly attempts to subtly clear her throat to get her mind back on track.

The girl was actually a little surprised by Jason’s reaction, but she laughed a bit at the finger guns, “Really?” she asked.

Crystal started thinking about what Jason went on to say, “Not a bad idea, but even if Dreameater did agree to help, I’m not sure I would want to put him in that kind of danger.. Scarlets blade keeps Nightmares from healing, and while I don’t know what else she could be capable of, I do my abilities couldn’t help him if he got hurt..” She suddenly stopped when the orange haired boy looked at her, and was a little taken back with what he said next. And by the fact Jasmine smacked him.

Crystal looked down for a moment, the realization creeping across her face as she figured out what Jason was getting at, then she looked up at everyone again.. “Me?” A rather nervous expression took over her features, “Arthur did tell me Scarlet would most likely hate my guts.. So, I would probably work.”

Sorry I didn’t back to y’all sooner, I got a little pulled away.)

At that, Eater's eyes seem to light up (in the metaphorical way this time), and he hops up off the floor, smiling faintly as he takes the box back from Boreas. "You did! Thank you!" he exclaims, looking over the box and confirming for himself how it is undamaged. Then, he turns around and glances around the cell--there's no table in here, so where shall he place his prized trophy? The Nightmare glances to the bed--but no, he can't put it there, Crimson sleeps there, and he can't put it under the bed, because what's the point in having a trophy that you hide? it might be safer there if he does have need to hide it, though...
Next, he walks over to the toilet, sets the box on top of the water tank behind it, and steps back to take in the image.
In almost an instant, he goes from seemingly neutral to agitated, swiftly stepping forward and lifting the box off the back of the toilet, mumbling bitterly to himself, something along the lines of, "No, don't put something of /hers/ /there,/ you stupid..."
Now, turning around again and making his look of disgust and anger visible for Boreas, the Nightmare moves to the last thing he can place his trophy on that isn't the floor: the Iron Man minifridge. Once again Eater sets the box down on top of it and steps back to judge how it looks.

Fiona was jotting things down in her diary as well--specifically, she'd started a 'Ways to Fix Weaver' section. She brought her hand up to her chin and occasionally nodded as she listened to Terra go over what they'd have to do to turn Weaver back into a Dreamer.

...But when he started talking about Dreamer's heart reflections, her eyes widened, "Wait, THAT CAN HAPPEN?!" She exclaimed, "I mean, I know you Dreamers have heart reflections, and are a lot different from us Elementals, but you guys can be glowy balls of light that can only flash or glow, too?! /I didn't know that!/

And if Weaver got /fused together/ with Eater... I mean, that makes sense too, with how heart reflections and Light Eaters work...
But then... What do we do about that? Eater's still in control, and he's EVIL, and he can't even FEEL ALL THE EMOTIONS, and that's NO GOOD.
...There's gotta be something..."

Boreas just watched Eater wander around the cell with his trophy. He folded his arms and raised one eyebrow slightly when the Nightmare started mumbling angrily to himself. After Eater finally seemed to settle on a place, the Elemental asked, "...Find a good spot?"

"... Y-yeah... I guess so..." Terra mumbles, blinking a couple times at Fiona after her exclamation, though he soon goes back to looking more serious. "I d-don't know what we'd do about that... I just don't know..."

The ghostly Dreamer goes quiet after this, thinking intently over what he's learned lately for any other shred of information on Nightmares he might have forgotten. In bringing up the ice cream place, and the events that followed, his mind goes back to Malice again... "... Malice told me... It was a woman who created him, who created the Nightmares... H-he called her his mother, and told me her name was Shoji..." he says and writes that down, though he isn't really sure where to take the conversation from there.

(I'm gonna guess that Shadow has crashed X'D)

Eira blinked in surprise, the happy kind, when Catch put his arm around her and whispered to her. She smiled warmly up at him. "Thank you, Catch," she murmured back, resting her head against his. The shiftress had felt nervous to talk about her condition, especially with everyone listening, but her husband and Serenity both seemed encouraging and caring despite it, and it made the shiftress's heart flutter warmly.

The Vaseterm nurse took a moment to finish jotting down notes, and then continued talking, reviewing her notes aloud. "I see. The corruption certainly appears to have had an effect, but it hasn't succeeded in taking over like previous cases that have been recorded. There are no unique situations concerning your species, magic, or stamina that set you apart from previous victims, which leaves us no footing in answering why you of all people would be spared from the corruption's dark deeds. Perhaps the culprit beast did not inject enough darkness into you? Perhaps it mis-aimed... I take it you have not encountered the monster since it first attacked. I can only assume it would've tried to finish you off if so. You're fortunate you didn't encounter it when it found your friend today."

"Actually, uh... I did encounter it again." Eira hugged herself with her arms, releasing a shuddering breath. She looked to Catch nervously, not liking the memories behind the event. "The Abyss... took Catch captive, and took him to a dark palace..... We all went there to rescue him, and... I encountered the Abyss there. We fought it to get past, but it didn't... actively try to kill me... I think." She paused in anxious thought, wringing her hands and fearing what might happen if the Abyss did try to come and finish her off.

(I just realized it, and I am 100% envisioning the nurse's voice as Doc Ock's in the Spiderverse movie x'D)

Malice owe mockery from the past Echoed in his mind, some of the words Waker spat was the same he had used before on his victims, even the way the Frost ancient was Assaulting him was very Similar to what he had done to her over a year ago, just before he himself would have gotten involved with the key hunters...

Had he really Change so much? It was true, not long ago Waker wouldn't have ever Dared to speak Illy about the king in front of him, let alone step on his face but now?... after coming face to face with the blood Sapphire and then what happened between him and Void, Mal felt Hollow but in a he never experienced before, sure Nightmares were hollow chest but this was definitely different, he did have a heart but it felt like it was Weighing him down... Malice was Experiencing shame and guilt and what Waker was saying wasn't helping that... he remembered beginning Crimson to kill him, and now he knew what his victim felt when he did the very same thing to them.... he remembered saving himself when Void made the offer to save Judas instead, even though he knew Judas would have willing traded himself, it was because of Judas's Selflessness that Malice now hated what he chosen, that he sold his only friend to save himself...

He couldn't go to Alex for answer, not like he had before... Mal knew he try to kill her again and it was that thought that hurt more then the chain that bind him now and it was then he finally realized something//... have I always been a puppet?....// looking back he never noticed the Strings, until the Abyss pulled them, the truth was he didn't care back then, he would have felt nothing with trading Judas life for his own, he wouldn't have felt the Terrifying fear of begging like his vitamins had done, and he would never resist an order from the Abyss and now Feared just what could Soledormir make him do against a will he never had before?

The Nightmare slowly nods his head, and seems to start relaxing more. "... Yeah, I think so," Eater replies, "At least, it'll do for now... Maybe I could get a special table for it at some point, but this'll do for now... Now I just need something for Catch, Eira, and Terra."

After saying that, however, a realization hits him--he /does/ have a trophy from Terra already... And, with a lingering grin on his face, he shape-shifts to his true form and uses his chains to take Terra's skull off of his skull face, placing it right beside and slightly on top of the empty box of Purity ice cream...

Eater steps back and admires his small trophy collection one more time--the box he used to pretend to eat Purity and the skull of the friend he devoured on the night he turned--and while he holds his head up proudly at first, as he stares into the skull's empty eye sockets, it isn't long before he lowers his head back down and starts to pin his ears back...

(I haven't watched that movie, and I haven't seen any clips of it in a long while, but that's funny to imagine--a Vaseterm with the voice of a girl Doc Ock X'D

"...Well, we've already made a lot of progress with figuring things out--we'll figure this out, too!" Fiona stated confidently, despite still looking like she was in deep thought. She wrote down a few more things, but again... A bit of a troubled look started to come across her face...

That is, until Terra mentioned something else he knew, "HUH? Malice told you that?!
Nightmares... Have a /MOM?!?/" She looked at him, absolutely stunned.
...Even as she wrote it down, she still looked unnerved. "...When did /that/ happen?"

Again, Boreas observed Eater's actions, not really showing any hints of emotion. The whole scene was odd, but at this point, what wasn't odd? At the very least, he was thankful Eater seemed to have calmed down.
He watched the Nightmare shift to his true form and take off Terra's skull--it didn't take long for him to guess whose it was. He stayed silent until Eater started to pin his ears back.
"...That doesn't look so good, huh?"

(Ooooof, I gotta call it a night, I'm getting to a point where I'm staring at my laptop screen blankly, even knowing it's my turn to write 'XP
