Stage 1: Knowing what emotion you wantnto convey is key
- Use music to inspire you
- Looking at references helps
- It's okay to use (Free to Use) bases to get out of artblock, its also like a coloring book. NEVER RELY ON BASES!

ALSO the base use, Not everyone is going to agree with me on that - thats why I said "Don't rely on base use" Just think of it as practice or a Coloring book. You can use it as inspiration :D

Stage 2: Squash and Stretch
I'm going to be honest, It's going to look like trash at first, BUT once you get the hang of it, it starts looking cool. Trying to figure out how to shape a face to get a half decent expression is always going to be hard.
Thats why you should take your time and slowly build up to it rather than thinking your a hotshot and start hating your art ^^'

So about the 5 years thing, that sadly is very true. I started drawing when I was 9. And I'm waaay better at art now!
I kept practicing ^o^
You might be "Bad" now but who knows in a year or even five, You'll STILL BE WAY BETTER THAN MY HANDWRITING IM STILL MAD ABOUT THAT.

Bad jokes aside, because I'm very unfunny.
I hope you learned something helpful!
