S'up? I'm curious about that beyond sorcerer.

Yeah, I gotta develop him before I can introduce him though. Right now, he's nothing but a vague concept, with no design, personality or anything.
But I'll be working on him over the next few weeks so I can hopefully use him soon. X)

I think he's gonna be an elf spellcaster, since I don't have any elf characters

'Oh, we're here? Lovely,' said Luxia. She made no attempt to get out of the car, merely staring out of the window at the flowery garden. 'Lovely place. Lovely scenery. Lovely manor. Assuming there's no dead bodies in it, of course.'

I'll go grab mine. Also, I have a thing to do in 13 minutes, but I should be good about an hour from then.

Den began to hurry down the street searching high and low for the source of the sense. Though the smell of tar, asphalt and overall gas from cars proved to make things difficult.

'They wouldn't appreciate the fun stuff,' said Stal grumpily. 'They don't even understand rock music, they think we're just people who make loud noises.'

Euterpe was so close to giving in and telling the old witch all she knew. But after Stella had come to a stop the dragon frightfully went for the car door attemping to open it.

She fell to the floor panting, her tounge almost touching tasting the asphalt.
Euterpe could breathe now and made long large sound of gasping for air, as if she had come from the water.

"That was was close" She whispered.

"As long as it it's nothing like what happened yesterday...." Shepherd said hesitantly.

He frowned a bit at Stal's remark. "I- apologize.... I don't wuite get some of the customs here... We didn't have a lot of music like that at home."

Stal just shrugged and grunted indifferently, as if he didn't really care what Shepherd thought of his music.

Pyre said, more understandingly, 'Yeah, it seems like a lot of things where you come from are different. But hey, that's one of the best things about travelling. Experiencing new things!'

Loch was still in the lead, gazing around alertly to make sure they weren't about to get ambushed by something.

"Yeah, that much seems true! Well other than this incident and the one at the bar, and at the road..... Caelum seems pretty great! Maybe I can try to convince Euterpe that staying here really is a good option." Said Shepherd smiling.

'Yeah, it is!' replied Pyre enthusiastically. 'Maybe once you settle down, you could even learn to drive a car!' He then eyed Shepherd doubtfully. 'Uhm... well, if you're old enough, of course. You're not allowed to drive unless you're at least seventeen here.'

"Drive a car?" Shepherd said confused, though he caught on. Remembering what had happened the first night he briefly stated.
"Oh no! I couldn't! I'll just stick to walking" Shepherd laughed easing the nervousness that struck his voice.

Pyre looked puzzled. 'Why, though? Driving is fun...'

Stal, however, seemed to notice the subtle nervousness in Shepherd's voice. 'Maybe he doesn't want to drive. I mean, it /is/ pretty dangerous. Don't you know that five people have died in East Caelum from car accidents this year alone?'

(Plot twist, the villian is a sentient car)

{Stella looks over everyone with concern.}

Stella: "Ok, this way, we're going to put the portal behind the house. Now, I need to do something...I might look...a little different. But, don't freak out, ok?"

Shepherd's eyes widened. "People- d-died by those things? Why do you drive them still?" He wondered, not really understanding the benefits of an automobile.

Luxia finally got out of the car, looking like she wasn't entirely sure how door handles worked. 'Yes, of course. I suppose the entity that lives inside your brain is going to possess you or something?' she said breezily, walking past Euterpe, who seemed to have face-planted on the tarmac.

(He caused to many accidents, slowed down traffic, broke many traffic laws!
Everyone was late to work because of him x'D

'There are only accidents /sometimes!'/ said Pyre hurriedly. 'Look, I know it seems crazy, but in a big city like this, it's just not practical to walk everywhere. It would take hours to walk all the way across Caelum. We need cars to get around quickly.'

A large low and tired groan came from the dragoness. "Ughhhhhhhhhh" She sighed, her voice muffled by the pavement. If people weren't mistaken, it almost looked as tho she enjoyed it. Though the truth was far from that.

With a long exhausted faced she lifted her head and followed after Luxia.

She didn't want to get too close, and instead stalked behind rather slowly and with a bit of distance between them. Enough to make it awkward for interaction at least.

"But what about you dragons with wings. Wouldn't flying be easier." Shepherd asked curiously, he always admired dragons, though Euterpe wasn't a very good prine example of one.

"I like walking, been pretty used to it. Beats being on the ocean for months with just fish to eat."

'Well, yes, dragons might find it easier to travel by flying,' Pyre admitted. 'But not all of us can fly. Also, for the bigger dragons, it can be kinda hard to find places to take off and land efficiently.'

'Driving sucks, we're always getting stuck in traffic jams,' grunted Stal. This seemed to be his entire opinion on the matter.

"Whoah, I know if I had wings I'd be flying all over the place." Shepherd said enthusiastically.

He paused and glanced at Stal. "Why don't you fly? Do you know what it's like to fly, I bet it feels like freedom" He asked Stal not realizing that Bonedragons were unable to use their wings.

Stal's grumpy expression didn't change. 'I can't fly, none of my species can,' he said. 'Evolution made our wings too small to fly with... or something like that.'

'He just walks everywhere,' Pyre added helpfully. 'Or rides in other peoples' cars.'

'I can fly,' Loch piped up. She'd apparently been listening in on the conversation, despite not saying anything until now.

'Yeah, she can,' said Pyre, nodding. 'But, she doesn't use her dragon form very much. It's kinda inconvenient in such a crowded city.'

{Stella looks unnerved by Luxia's statement.}

Stella: "...Yeah...Look, he can be rude so...Fair warning..."

{She then walks over to a bench in the garden and sits. Closing her eyes, she wraps her arms around herself and leans a bit forward.}

Stella: "...I hate this part..."

{After a moment, she grunts, seemingly in pain. Her grip tightens around herself, and a painful cracking sound can be heard. Suddenly, two crimson colored, feathered wings erupt out of her back, coming through well hidden slits in the back of her dress. Her streak of red hair turns to plumage, her fingernails become claws, and her skin has scattered patches of black scales. Looking up, Stella now has eyes very similar to Dianne's, with black sclera and red irises. The entity jumps to its feet, grins a wicked smile, and speaks in both Stella's and a masculine voice.}

Stellarus: "Hey there, friends! My name is Stellarus! It's nice to meet you!"

"Hmm" Shepherd said before wandering into thought. //Maybe this isn't the best place for Eu. She finds it too cramped...//

"What about the fact that you can look like a human?" He asked. "Can all dragons do that?"

'Hello, Stellarus!' greeted Luxia, as if this were a completely normal occurrance. 'Lovely afternoon, isn't it? So, why do you need to take over Stella's body like this?'

Euterpe's jaw drops at Stella's sudden transformation. She hurries ahead of Luxia and begins to quickly inspect.

"What the- well how the heck did you do that? Are wings just a dime dozen these days?" Her feathers looked a bit ruffled and her wings were raised somewhat. Instinctually it should a bit of fright and defensiveness.

Loch shook her head. 'No. Not all of them. There are some species of dragon, which are called 'dragonshifters'. Those are the ones who can change their forms. Euterpe might just be a normal dragon. If she is, then she can't shapeshift.'

"Well she doesn't like talking about it much. I only that she appears to be a dragon from what was said by the local villigers." Shepherd mentioned.
"She can be quite tight on somethings..."

'Huh. She's really mysterious, isn't she?' said Pyre curiously. He turned to look at Shepherd, a question suddenly entering his mind. 'Hey, did you ever see any vampires back home?' he asked curiously.

"What are vampires?" Shepherd asked suddenly intrigued as well. "Don't think I know any, the name sounds vaguely familiar. Maybe someone said it at one point."

{Stellarus adresses Luxia first.}

Stellarus: "Well, you see this house right here? It's full of draugrs. Now, Stella's boss gave us a way to command them in the event of an emergency, but it requires a bit of...Magical potential...And Stella alone, well....She is just a human."

Stella: //I feel like I should be insulted by that...//

'Uhm...' Pyre tried to think of a way to describe vampires that wouldn't disturb Shepherd. After a moment, he said: 'Well, vampires are a species very similar to humans... in fact, they used to be humans. But they have special powers, like being able to use telepathy and shift into animals. And they have to drink blood to survive,' he added apologetically.

{Stellarus then turns to Euterpe, grinning from ear to ear.}

Stellarus: "Oh, I had wings back when I had my own body. These are just...Residual forms of them. What, did you think you were special, just for having wings?"

'Lovely,' said Luxia, nodding. 'So, what are you going to do? Send these draugrs into Beyond to rescue your friends?'

Shepherd's eyes lit up, at first it sound really awesome but his expession quickly changed to being baffled. "Why not eat just meat? Yuck blood is saltly and irony. Why would you eat that."

"NO" Retorted Euterpe. "It's just weird that you sudden have them. I don't recall humanoids sudden busting out wings from their shoulder blades like it was as easy as cracking eggs." She muttered.

'It's a weird magic thing,' said Pyre. 'We can't live off normal food like meat. We /have/ to drink blood, otherwise we die. I think it's what gives us all of our vampire powers?' He sounded like he wasn't sure - perhaps because he hadn't actually been a vampire for very long.

'And blood doesn't taste bad to vampires,' added Loch. 'Apparently, it tastes really good.'

Shepherd remained unconvinced and keep that the unusual expression. "Hmm ok, I can't imagine ever liking blood though." He said his face looked as though he tasted something sour.

Stellarus: "Yes, but I'll have to go in with them. Draugrs need direction to be their most effective."

'If you became a vampire, then it would totally make sense,' said Pyre. Then his expression suddenly turned serious. 'That reminds me... you're human, right? In that case, you need to be careful. If a vampire or werewolf bites you, then you could become one of them,' he said warningly.

'Why don't I go in, too?' said Luxia brightly. 'You might need my help. I can cast spells. That's better than anything those hunks of dead meat can do.'

Loch stifled a laugh at that, while Stal's jaw twitched as if he weren't sure whether to be amused or annoyed.

'OK...' Pyre tried to explain. 'So, a werewolf is another of the magical species that live in Caelum. They're pretty much just humans, but they can transform into big, beast-like creatures whenever they like.'

Luxia just smiled and stood there with a vacant expression, while waiting for Stellarus to gather the reinforcements. While standing there, she turned to Euterpe.

'So, weren't we talking about something? ....Oh! Wasn't it gnomes?' she said.

The dragoness scowled before walking off to a corner that she could lounge her full body in without cramping up or knocking things over.

Though before Euterpe was able to rest completely she stiffened up when the old lady mentioned the gnomes.

"Uh yea, I wack him really good and never saw em again, maybe I was hallucinating." She grumbled quickly making something up.

Shepherd began to looked mortified at all this. "What's the catch? Is there anything else I can become? I sure hope there's nothing that turns you into a car."

Pyre racked his brains. 'No... I think you can only get turned into a vampire or a werewolf... And there's definitely no way you could turn into a car.' He decided not to mention that a powerful witch or wizard probably /could/ turn someone into a car.

'Look, don't worry so much,' interjected Loch. 'Nobody's going to be turning you into anything.'

"Except maybe here, where we could all be come lunch." Said Shepherd sounding a little more in disbelief. "How does that happen anyway? Becoming a wares wolf or a vampire." Shepherd said squinting, seemingly messing up the name werewolf again.

Pyre paused. 'How does it happen? Uh... I'm not sure exactly. Something to do with the magic-enhanced venom that werewolves and vampires carry in their fangs, and the way the magic reacts to human blood. Just don't let them bite you, and you'll be fine.'

{Stellarus walks to the house and produces a key. As they enter the house, they walk into a grand foyer, with suits of armor decorating the place. They turn to look at Stellarus, growling.}

Stellarus: "Override code: 1175563 Designation: KX-Alpha."

Draugrs: "Acknowledged."

{With that, 15 armored draugrs all armed with swords and pikes appear from throughout the house and line up in the foyer.}

Stellarus: "Excellent."

'Hallucinating? Well, you shouldn't do that,' said Luxia in a disapproving tone. 'That's bad. You'll miss all the important things if you're too busy hallucinating. You know, one time, I hallucinated that giant spiders were creeping into my bedroom, it was very odd.' She rambled on, seemingly forgetting the subject of gnomes.

"Oh -ok" Pyre made it sound as if was no big deal, but to Shepherd it seemed to be another thing he had to worry about. //Euterpe would not be happy if I started looking like Marco, or started enjoying blood for the matter.//

Pyre smiled in what he probably thought was a reassuring way and patted Shepherd's shoulder. 'Don't worry. I know I'm doing a bad job at explaining everything... but nobody's going to Turn you. In Caelum, there are laws to prevent vampires and werewolves Turning people against their will.'

(Half of her dialogue is just whatever random crap comes into my head, I love it. XD)

Euterpe just stood there and began nodding at all the nonsense that came out of Luxia's mouth.
Strangely enough seemed to be almost understanding or even taking some of the advice the old witch had to offer.

As the Draugr entered the foyer Euterpe eyes them squinting suspiciously. Where had all these dead looking guys come from? Thinking not best to say anything more the dragon just observed and reserved her judgment on the matter.

Luxia didn't show any surprise when the draugrs showed up, merely continuing to ramble incoherently.

'...So. the spiders weren't real, you know, but then I thought, 'what if this is a sign that evil necromancers are stalking me?' So I went outside and found these creepy people in hooded cloaks, waving their hands and muttering strange words. I turned their cloaks into soft cheese. That taught them not to mess with me!'

(Dianne would not be happy. XD)

{Stellarus leads the draugrs outside. They get into formation as Stellarus walks up to Luxia.}

Stellarus: "Are we ready, dear?"

'Yes, yes, yes,' said Luxia, nodding enthusiastically. 'Of course, they never played tricks on me again after that.' She then turned to Stellarus, squinting slightly. 'Yes, I'm ready. What are you going to do with Loopy while we're gone?'

She pointed at Euterpe as she spoke. Apparently, she was calling Euterpe 'Loopy'.

(That's a cute nickname for her x'D )

"It's not like you care about rescuing him! You're only in it to save your boss!"

Stellarus: "And she's only in there to get Shepherd out, so I think you're complaining about nothing. If you want to come, I won't stop you, but I won't be held responsible if you die."

"Don't pretend you care, you may have any army of angry witch hunting villigers but that doesn't mean scatch to me! Or him, I'd bet you wouldn't even think to bring his body back."
She scowled one more time before confidently say. "Yeah I'll go, if anyone's going to make sure he's alright it's me."

Luxia squinted at Euterpe. 'You don't have any special powers, do you, Loopy? You're lucky I'm going too, and we have all the king's undead men to help us. Otherwise you wouldn't last a moment in Beyond,' she said disapprovingly.

Stellarus: "Yeesh....Temper, temper, Loopy. Fine, let's go. Luxia, if you would do the honors?"

Luxia grinned, showing yellowed teeth. 'It would be my pleasure.'

She walked to the corner of the room, facing the wall. Standing very still, she began to draw power up from the earth beneath her feet, storing it inside her body in preparation to cast a spell. This seemed to be a fairly long process that required a lot of concentration. From Stellarus and Euterpe's point of view, it looked like Luxia was just standing there, doing nothing. But they would be able to feel a shadow of the power she was drawing up, heavy and ominous, crackling with static electricity - it felt the way the air does before a storm breaks.
