I'd have to say he'd need another source of energy? This is taking into account that water in foods--fruits and vegetables and some meat doesn't hurt him either. (Then his diet would have to only consist of stuff like doritos and other corn chips, lol!) And Grayson's safe eating what he wants at least..

Otherwise, is ALL forms of water is dangerous (except what's already in his body?) Then let's focus on the fact that he is a dark elf--magical creature. We could say that water isn't as important to him as it is to us humans. And he survives better with carbon dioxide or some magical substance, that only people like him can absorb from the air? So there can be moments where his body can't sweat after it uses up it's water and it won't be a immediate deadly thing... And he has to resist drinking beverages and water itself, lest he starts his bodily functions again...

Long-story-short: Make him not NEED water to live, he can still get thirsty. But it's possible for him to avoid this allergy because he's (kind of) magical?

You are right lol sometimes I forget he is a drow XD Hmm, but his water allergy is more human like (there are real people with that allergy too) so I don't think that he would be damaged by drinking it, just his skin would be really sore? I should probably look for that allergy on Google to learn how it works lol BUT YES YOU ARE RIGHT! Thanks to his magical abilities he wouldn't need to be near water that much/ wouldn't get hurt that much lol
