In 1995 an annual Pride Parade takes place in West Hollywood. Calvin attended that very event. A reporter asked where he's from, and when he declared Santa Azul, nearby patrons reacted rather violently. Several others who either came from that city or are their supporters intervened and, in a short time, it spiraled into a riot. That day haunted him.
