There's four series in total
DB
DBZ
DBS
and DBGT

All in order that is.
But dw if u can't instantly get your hands on the original DB you can start off with DBZ which will be just fine. But if you do choose to start off from there i'd advice you watch DBZ kai because it's way quicker to get through than the og DBZ which is 398 episodes long. Now dw about missing anythung vital when watching DBZ kai which is shorter with there only being I9O episodes. All DBZ kai takes away is filler. All the cannon is still there. Another good thing about DBZ kai is the up to date dubbing, plus in HD.
But if you prefer filler, (tbh it can be very entertaining at times) Go ahead and watch the og dbz bc there isnt anything wrong with it, you'll just have to deal with the older dubbing.

Also on one last note
DBGT isn't a must-watch either.
Because it is all non-cannon after all.
Aslong as you watch DBZ/DBZ kai and DBS you should be fine. The original DB is optional since DBZ kai kind of has a brief recap of everything that happened in that series. Watching the og db is still necessary but not vital, so it's ultimately up to you.

Now remember db is the king of all anime and nothing else can compare!

It's just extra content bc the never fully satisfied fandom put Toriyama through a juicing machine 24/7 so don't really worry about those series that much, it's all non-cannon anyway iirc
