(This is related to my last two lore posts, so read those if you don't know what I'm talking about. XD)

OK so

WHAT IF a portal to Beyond appeared somewhere in the city, and some characters got sucked into it and had to survive in the other world until they escaped/were rescued? It could be interesting - and would force characters to use their fighting skills (or lack thereof), which they probably wouldn't in Caelum.

I mean, I can just turn this RP into a survival horror right? XD

Hmm, it's an intersting idea. How would we choose which characters would get sucked in?

@Xeno - Doesn't really matter, we could just have a few people stumble across the portal coincidentally or maybe one person goes through it and then others do too while searching for them?

Would be nice to have some charas still in Caelum to do other stuff, and some others stuck in Beyond. >:)

Humans and weaker charas will be in greater danger in Beyond, though of course I won't just... kill off anyone's charas. XD

I might have some of the band members get stuck there, it'd be interesting to see how they cope given that none of them are practised fighters or anything--

Here's another little fact about Beyond:

It's pretty common for the portal you went through to immediately disappear afterwards. So people can't just turn around and run back out. Most people who end up there have to search the land for another open portal to escape through, but very few manage to find one before the monsters or other hazards kill them.
(Some beings with a high amount of magical power can also open portals manually.)
Wherever you leave from Beyond corresponds to where you'll end up in Apollo, so if you go to where Caelum City would be in Beyond, find a portal, and hop out, you'll appear in the middle of Caelum City...

I'm sure I'll expand more on the Beyond lore as things progress. I don't really know how it'll all work until I use it in the RP. Then I can add/remove/change things that don't work well.

Out of all my current charas in the RP, Mason would probably survive best because of his history with fighting, but I'm not sure yet if I'd want to put him in.

This could also be a way to like
force charas who wouldn't normally bother interacting to actually talk and help each other. XD

If you wanna throw any of the disaster gang into the portal then that would give you a chance to do so - maybe Euterpe and Marco follow the band members and accidentally (or purposely) get sucked in as well?

She might, I /think/ she'd be able to open/close portals since she's a spellcaster and the portal stuff is done with spells.

Problems with laotops is that they tend to be more expensive then just building a desktop with the same gpu power.

Most of the time what you're paying for in a laptop is portability. Everything has to be smaller n stuff.
Getting a desktop is going to be a lot cheaper just because they have more space to work with for the same parts. :P

I /much/ prefer desktops over laptops (and I kinda hate phones), but getting another desktop isn't really feasible right now, mostly for space reasons. I'm not sure about getting a laptop either, since I don't really... need one? All I need is a way to access specific sites during moments when I can't get on the family computer.

I have no idea what kind I'd get though, I'd have to look into it. I'm very out of the loop on mobile phones, I have no clue what's available/new right now.

My current one is a Samsung Galaxy Young that doesn't seem to like much except Youtube. XD

Continuing through the week at least some of time would be helpful! I'm afraid that my timezone is going to cause too many problems, since everyone else probably lives in America or something. I don't want to inconvenience everyone because they have to try and work their schedules around me. If it ends up being too much of an issue then I probably just won't join, for other players' sake.

If we could do the main RP over the weekend and continue through the week then I'd be a lot more active in participating.

I honestly would of gotten a desktop over a laptop, but yea space here is limited as well. Too many people in the house x'D

I also needed something to bring at school, though the school did have their fancy computer labs, I never like working in them often and much prefer my own device. :p

The current phones that are new I think are the note 10 plus, the flip screen phones, and probably some new iphone with god knows what number attached to it. X'D

The note series is pretty good, before my note 10 I had a note 5, and it functioned fairly well until the battery started to kinda die on me.
I'm not as knowledgeable on phones as I should be, I just like my Samsung notes and their fancy S pens x'D

I have to say though, I bought this one through my dad and I had some problems with it since it was a Verizon phone hcf gfh.

We have the weirdest computer arrangements in this house. XD
- We have two family computers, but one is a laptop that's only really used by my mum. It's really old and I hate using it. The other one is a desktop computer that everyone else shares, that's what I normally use for DA and Discord and stuff.
- I actually /do/ have my own desktop in my room, but it's not connected to the internet. It's ancient and running on Windows XP. I just use it for art, writing and notes. XD

So yeah, if I wanted something to access Discord with then I'd probably look into getting a phone... or maybe a tablet? I don't really know much about them, my sister has one though.

Yeah, I think it's best to try and keep things loose and flexible with the RP rather than sticking to a close schedule. What with timezone problems and availability problems and different people having different schedules, it might be hard to do any other way.

We have quite a lot of old stuff that still works. We even have an NES console in the house somewhere, it's like 35 years old but still powers up.
