Aw, I've liked your recent stuff but I definitely get where youre coming from, I get that way about my art too sometimes :/ The good news is normally it happens right before a burst of improvement! :0
^ I definitely agree with vivie! I really like you're recent stuff and the aesthetics you apply to your art! Digital art is weird tbh, it messes with your art style from time to time and I struggle with it a lot but don't give in to the frustration! I'm sure you'll get through any dissatisfaction you have with art soon!
@-blake- Re: Glad you see it :). Sometimes it can frustrating when our art isn't quite at the level we'd like but we have to remember that our artistic vision is often far beyond what our hands are capable of creating. We have to learn to be satisfied with what we can create at our current skill level while at the same time we need to keep striving to improve. Otherwise we discourage ourselves or stagnate.
Re: Omg yes! I got into a bad habit where I felt pressured to constantly pump out art on here that I felt really disconnected from my style so I slowed things down and eventually I started making things I liked again. Slowing down is a good refresher but also remember to stay motivated and keep finding things that inspire you! I'm sure you'll bounce back and feel better once you get back into a rhythm hopefully! I know I don't comment often but I'm here if you ever wanna chat!
@-blake- Re: Best reason to draw imo is because you enjoy it. Some people are really into clout chasing so if their piece doesn’t get a lot of likes or comments they tend to get upset. Especially if someone they know is more popular. If you compare yourself to others nonstop you’re drawing for the wrong reasons. Of course taking inspiration is fine.
@-Blake- Re: Yep. It’s fine to do fan art and request for some people while as long as you keep maintaining some artistic integrity. Meaning you don’t mind request/trades as long as you keep your standards(ex: never drawing nsfw or gore just for clout even if it would give you a popularity boost). Inspiration is a great motivator. I’ve grown a lot as an artist just from watching the playback of some of my favorite paintings here.
