Drake is first!
1] Drake is a type of magic user known as a Summoner. He’s linked with a creature known as a Familiar that he can summon and strengthen with his own power. Him and his Familiar are so highly connected, they can feel each other’s pain and certain emotions if they’re strong enough.
2] In his original story, Drake and his family lived in a modern city. He had a different partner back then, but not a summoned creature—a fox warrior named Kaji. I had planned that, during their adventures to figure out the mystery behind Kaji, Drake would encounter multiple lost magical creatures he’d tame and link with. Thus, he’d have a group of Familiars he and his family would care for and try to keep secret. Just a few of these creatures he could’ve possibly tamed were a lightning crocodile-dino, a shadowy bat-like creature, a Cerberus, and Frostbite.
I scrapped most of these ideas.
3] The second time I attempted a story with Drake was the Fate of Loreua RP I tried to host. I swapped the setting to a more fantasy-esque world called Loreua. I adopted the idea of Drake being a magic-using rogue from a mysterious kingdom called Ethireth. This was where I only gave him one familiar—I thought any more would be unfair and over-powered. In the end, I discovered I really wasn’t fit to host a RP yet. I gave up on it suddenly, and without saying much--which was pretty bad on my part. I think it was fun while it lasted, and I hope the members all enjoyed it too. I can confidently say I’ve learned a lot from it, and while I probably won’t try hosting any big RPs for a long time, I’ve got some new plans for Drake, Frostbite, and even the land of Loreua.
4] Now on to something a little more lighthearted—Drake can’t stand anything caffeinated. He gets all jittery and jumpy and just can’t sit still. He ‘endearingly’ refers to the feeling as "becoming a living jackhammer.”
5] Drake’s hair is based off of the shape of a dragon’s head. He also owns a few dragon hoodies he made himself—he’s quite the crafty kid. He’s always been a huge fan of dragons, yet he can’t summon one—just Frostbite.
6] He's a bit of a loner, and he really prefers to do his own thing. Despite this, Drake’s always had one close friend other than his Familiar—his older cousin Alexis. The two of them have stuck together through thick and thin.
7] When he first met Frostbite, he thought she was some kind of figment of his imagination. He feared he was going crazy, and he was definitely afraid of her, even after he accidentally linked with her. He has no clue where she’s from, despite her telling him all about the place. He wants to learn more about her and her origins, though.
8] Drake wasn’t born with magic, or as a Summoner. It all started when he received a certain book. He’s still trying to understand everything about it to this day.

And now, Frostbite!
1] As said earlier, Frostbite wasn’t Drake’s original first partner—but she was one of my favorites out of all the different creatures I threw together to be his Familiars. So, when I scrapped Kaji, she became his new partner.
2] Frostbite’s design is kinda based off of a Wendigo, but most of my inspiration came from a dinosaur called Therizinosaurus. (*cough* ZINO FROM THE DS GAME FOSSIL FIGHTERS *cough*) Her original design had a skull for a face with black eyesockets and glowing blue pupils, but it didn’t quite give her the look I was going for, so I later adjusted her to what she looks like now. I pretty much used to call her species my version of Wendigoes, but I’ve decided to work more on making them their own thing.
3] Before Drake linked with her, Frostbite didn’t have icy antlers or spikes running along her spine. Her scythe-like claws and fur patterns were white instead of pale blue. She also didn’t have a small ‘passive’ form, or a big ‘aggressive’ form, she was stuck at a medium size—just a little taller than your average adult.
4] Frostbite has no magical abilities. She’s all physical attacks while Drake is the magic user.
5] She thought Drake was the weirdest thing ever when they met, and she was completely convinced he had cursed her when they linked. Even to this day, she finds his magic abilities strange, and she really doesn’t like that book he has...
6] She’s from an icy mountain range near a kingdom called Aziara. She tells Drake that there are other creatures there who are like her, but aren’t quite the same.
7] In Aziara, Frostbite’s kind are considered wild beasts. She never could get too close to civilization without provoking defensive attacks from guards or civilians. Because of this, she struggles to understand social norms. Technically, where Drake is from, Frostbite is considered even more of a dangerous monster, since they’ve never been seen before in that world.
8] Frostbite loves anything caffeinated that gives her an energy boost—especially soda, with the 'tasty hard-outer shell and the snappy inside.' She discovered it was a thing when she found out how to raid the fridge.
Alexis had some choice words for her and Drake afterwards.
9] If it’s not obvious, Frostbite also just loves to eat in general. She tries to eat a lot of weird things, though. Drake’s been teaching her about what she should and shouldn’t eat.
10] Frostbite often calls Drake ‘Sir Dragonbreath the Third.’ This is partially because she doesn’t understand Drake’s fascination with dragons and ‘why doesn’t he think I’M cool?!’
11] She may be a bit of a rebel, and she teases her Summoner all the time, but she will listen to him if he tells her something important. She genuinely cares for Drake’s safety.
Of course, she wasn’t like that from the beginning. She only really did things for herself for a while. But over time, and after a few close calls, she’s grown to really appreciate Drake as a caretaker and companion.
12] She’s pretty impulsive, and often goes into her aggressive form without warning, even in some situations where it’s not really needed. This puts a lot of strain on Drake though, so she’s been working on trying not to ‘turn big’ if she doesn’t have to.
13] Frostbite used to be very territorial and liked to get her claws dirty. She was actually quite the menace when Drake first met her, picking fights with everything from wildlife, to humans. It was a miracle she didn’t try to eat /him./ However, over time, after linking with Drake and living with her new caretakers, Frostbite has learned to tone down her violence, and even feels guilty for the harm she’d caused people in the past.
14] She wonders about human clothes and once tried to wear a mixture of Drake and Alexis’ clothing. She ended up getting all wrapped up in multiple shirts and pairs of pants…
No one was happy with this.
But she did discover that socks make good claw-warmers.

15] Frostbite isn’t actually her real name—it’s a nickname Drake and Alexis gave her after they met her. They based this off of her icy horns, and habit of biting everything. It especially fit when she tried to bite a metal railing covered in ice, and got her tongue stuck to it. Even after that embarrassing event, Frostbite eventually grew attached to the name.
16] She doesn’t exactly know how she got to Drake’s world, but she has her own ideas about it having something to do with ‘the ice.’ Neither her, nor Drake can ever really make any sense of this, though.

Ahhh, this was cool! I wasn't incredibly familiar with these two, but after reading all of this, I think I like them quite a lot. XD
Thanks for tagging me! I'll get right on that--

Lol, this was fun to read. Yeah, when I first saw Frostbite, I thought she looked like a Therizinosaurus. Or, as I like to call them, Tickle Chickens. XD
It's an Ark: Survival Evolved joke...
