i might make a few extra facesprites so ix can emote depending how they're feeling, buuuut if that ain't somethin you're implementing then i won't do it pfffft
feel free to crop this however, i made sure to leave a lotta room for easy cropping to get ix's face

- if you encounter ix before or after a boss fight, and talk to them more than 5 times after they give you an item, they'll finally ask "Why are you still talking to me? Do you want another item or somethin'?"
"Because uh. I don't have anymore... right now, anyway."
they would then just walk out of the room and you couldn't talk to them until after the boss fight, in which they'll congragulate you on winning and maybe offer some vague battle tips
- they'd probably get a bit more friendly and less vague the more you progressed, until towards the last few bosses you could ask them to join your party (unless you only have the protag at all times), in which they'd say
"Oh?... Weeellll, thanks for the offer, but I'm... not much of a fighter."
"I'll be cheering you on from the sidelines, though. Be careful out there, a'ight?"
- you could probably see them occasionally in the background of random areas, but never be able to properly approach them
