I have lot of others dogs/equines/birds n cats.
So anyone of those could be good! I'm not super picky and I like surprises. Best thing about ATs is that it's interesting to see what character the other person chooses to draw. X'D

Hmm, there's a good chance I'll end up doing either Euterpe, Denarius or Riptide. XD I love their designs.

But I'll keep my final decision a surprise.

If you don't feel like drawing any of the characters I mentioned then you can surf through my OC tag ( #RadiantOC) and see if anyone else catches your eye, but some of the older ones don't have up-to-date designs so you'll have to ask me about them first.

"Alwahoolll ALCHAHOOLLL" Euterpe howled. "But I must gooooooooOOO! Hehe my wings can't fit in herya." That 'go' had a long hollow tune that resembles some sort of strange mix between an owl's hoot and a wolf's howl.

She tried to stretch her wings but sure enough they expanded over to some vacant tables. Consequently they knocked over left over glasses, some with which still had drinks in them.
She laughed rather precariously. "Seeeeee?"

(I love drunk Euterpe too much. XD)

RIP Shepherd probably going to bring him in soon, maybe maybe not let's see where this goes. Lol )

'Oh, lighten up a little,' said Loch, to Dianne. 'This is probably the first time in years that she's actually had fun.' She looked at Euterpe, smirking deviously. 'It's pretty great, right? Kinda feels like you're floating and everything is awesome.'

Arc curled his tail around her back to support her when she staggered dangerously.

Euterpe just nodded.
"Ok but thennnnnn can I go outsideeeeee?" She asked while trying to fold in her wings, which she seemed to have trouble with. For awhile she just stared at one as she moved it back in forth. "I THINK THEY'RE STUCK"
She yelled before tumbling to the ground in an erratic manner. It seemed as the the Dragoness was trying to forcefully pull them in by rolling around.

At all the commotion by the bar Shepherd walked in. He initially came to clean up the tables but dropped his towels when he saw his friend rolling around on the floor. "Euterpe! What are you doing?"

Dianne: "Euterpe, what are you even doing?"

{She turns when she notices Shepherd.}

Dianne: "Sh-Shepherd....Uh....She had some Akhetian Ale, and then...this happened."

Arc and Pyre were also just watching Euterpe, not sure whether to offer some kind of help or just laugh at her. Loch, on the other hand, was looking faintly unnerved. 'Uhh... maybe I /shouldn't/ have let you drink,' she muttered.

Arc then turned to look at Shepherd. 'Oh yes, sorry about this,' he said, embarrassed. 'She should be fine soon, no damage done.'

(Arc: Terribly sorry old chap, we seem to have broken your friend. Normal service will resume shortly.)

"Trying to fold in my damn wings! They'll stuck" She mumbled to him while flailing around on the ground.

"Uh-" Shepherd then turned to Dianne and the rest of the group just looking even more confused. "Ok, so she drank something weird,,, and now she's acting weird? Hm" He thought a moment. "Maybe we should bring her upstairs with Marco then so that she doesn't cause anymore of a mess."
"No! I don't want to gooooo up thereee. I think I can fix it if you let me outside." Euterpe protested.

"Outside? Uh, yea sure. How about tomorrow."

"NoooooooO, I need to leave it's important."

Shepherd turned to the group again and then made s 'what' face pointing while pointing back to her. "I've never her seen her like this..."

{Dianne just sighs heavilly. Approaching Euterpe, she grabs a hold of one of her wings and gently folds it back in place.}

Dianne: "There. One down, one to go...Wow, those feathers are really soft."

Loch observed the scene, squinting and swaying slightly. 'They're soft? Of course they're soft, she looks like an owl. Owls are soft.' She nodded dramatically as if she were an expert on this.

Arc sighed. 'While these people are looking after Euterpe, you should probably go home too, Loch. I'm not sure I trust your judgement right now.'

'We can't go home, the party only just begun! Hey...' Loch looked up at Shepherd as if only just realising he was there. 'Are you a human?' she said, as if this were a perfectly normal question to ask someone.

As Dianne helped fold in Euterpe's wings she shrieked. She of course was not expecting anyone to grab her wings let alone comment on how soft they were.
"No! No! Not soft, not soft at alllllll."

Shepherd came over to help Dianne control the dragoness, who's movements started to become sad and slow.
He didn't acknowledge Loch until she posed the question. He just raised an eyebrow at her like she was an alien. "Well I think so? Sure hope someone hasn't fooled me into thinking I was otherwise?"

"Aren't you one as well?"

(Trueeeeeeee, it'd be a wild scene for sure)

Loch snickered. 'No! What, you think everyone here is human? At least half of us aren't. I'm a Shifter Dragon. Kinda like your drunk friend over there, except I can make myself look human.'

Pyre had gotten out his phone and was texting Gray, asking him to bring his car over to the Serpent's Tomb so they could drive Loch home. Trying to walk through the city with her didn't seem like a good idea.

Shepherd didn't laugh, unlike Loch. "Oh... I didn't realize there were creatures with such abilities." He murmured with a tone of disinterest.
Loch's strange demeanor sort of made him uncomfortable. It also didn't help that she seemed to be acting in a similar manner to his friend, whom he choose to put the priority of his attention on.
"Dianne If I knew she was going to indulge in such activities,, I-I. "
He stopped short remembering that they were in public. //I shouldn't have left her, gee she is even more trouble than the dog.//

(I like how Dianne and Arc have just become the disappointed parents in this situation X'D)

(Do you have lore for how humans work in Aether? Just curious :p
Also I was wondering if there were any parts countries similar to with what Shepherd had, concentration camps and what not. :P

( @Alk - Humans are basically the same as Earth humans in this world. Unlike many of the other sentient races, it's impossible for them to have any sort of magical abilities or powers. Though in some cases a human could be crossbred with a magical species, at least the ones the'yre capable of reproducing with, and can have magical abilities because of that.
But they're just regular people, pretty much.

And I never thought about that. XD I wouldn't think there's anything in Aether like that.)

And ooo ok! I was asking because I was wondering if there was a specific country I could pin point him from~ but he can just be from no name place that did the bad things. Lol )

(Well this world is still a big WIP, and I like giving people freedom to do their own stuff, so you can make up a country for Shepherd to be from and add it to the world if you want. XD
My world has a steadily growing number of locations made up by other people already, and I'm alright with that.)

(Most if not all of our planets are named are Greek/Roman gods, so I thought I'd continue that theme with my own world. XD

Random lore, the planet actually has two names. It was originally inhabited only by non-humans (mostly dragons) and they named the planet first. Later, humans started showing up and gave it their own name--)

Guess their ages? I imagine Shepherd to be late teens, 17 - 18 kind of range; I feel like he seems younger because he's a bit naive.

(Dragons can live a long time, it depends on the species, but I kinda feel like they... mentally age around the same way you'd expect?
So she could very well be in the 20's range--

Shifter Dragons typically live between 140 - 160 years, and with other species it varies a lot - most don't live more than 300-ish years though.)

Dianne: “Don’t worry about it, Shepherd. It’s not your fault. Here, help me take her upstairs.”

{Dianne start flip Euterpe onto her feet.}

Loch just kept quietly snickering as she watched, not seeming to take the situation seriously at all. 'Hey, why's everyone looking at me like I messed up? There's no harm done...'

Arc glanced between Dianne and Shepherd. 'Um, is there anything I can help with? I feel bad that this happened, I shouldn't have let Loch talk her into drinking.'

Dianne: "No, Arc, it's ok. Just....Loch, you're cut off. We'll be fine, Arc. Just take care of your friends."

"There's, someone waiting..." Murmured Euterpe a little dreary now.

Shepherd nodded and began to help Dianne bring Euterpe to her feet.
"Gee you're heavy. That small shot really knocked her out." He said as they helped Euterpe towards the stairs.

He almost wanted to comment on Loch's attitude towards the situation but quickly bit his lip. //Probably not best to provoke the situation.// He thought only giving her a more disapproving glance.

Dianne: "That little shot was very strong. If I knew she'd react like this, I would have stopped her."

{She caught his baleful look at Loch.}

Dianne: "Yeah, Loch's acting very immaturely. But, she had two of those shots, so whatever semblance of mental acuity she had before, if any, is gone now."

While Dianne and Shepherd were dealing with Euterpe, a rusty old Volvo pulled up outside the bar. With a look of desperate gratitude, Arc put an arm around Loch and led her outside to the car as fast as possible.

'Hey, it's not time to leave. You can't make me leave just cuz of what that dragon did... You-terpe...'

Her muttered protests were cut off as Arc took her outside, gently shutting the bar door.

Pyre, meanwhile, glanced around swiftly before putting a handful of coins down on the bar to pay for the drinks, realising nobody else had remembered to do so.

{As Arc was escorting Loch out, Stella walks up. Apparently, she had seen everything from a distance.}

Stella: "Huh. Boy, she's obnoxious when she's had a few."

(Pyre. It was not specifically stated that he left. If he’s gone, then treat it as a general statement. )

Pyre turned to Stella. '...She doesn't mean any harm,' he said, thinking he should make some attempt to defend his friend. 'She just, ehh...' He rubbed the back of his head. 'She just wants everyone to have fun, and doesn't always realise that she's just being a pain.'

Outside, Arc was helping Loch into Gray's car while she continued mumbling incoherently about Euterpe and alcohol. On the plus side, she wasn't fighting to get back into the bar anymore.

Shepherd shook his head. "I'm surprised Euterpe even consented to it. She's been resentful of everything since we got here."
"Who was that woman-er dragon anyway? I mean when I said meet other dragons I didn't mean poison yourself over it."

Dianne: "Her name is Loch. From what I can gather, she's just a woman who's very rowdy when she's had a few. Yeah, Euterpe seems very susceptible to peer pressure, despite not seeming to enjoy anything here."

{Once they got to the stairs, Dianne glances at Euterpe.}

Dianne: "Euterpe, we need you to walk up these stairs now, ok?"

{Stella smirks.}

Stella: "Yeah, she seems like the type to have no regard for how her actions effect other people. After all, she almost cost your band their chance to play here by trying to pick a fight outside."

'It's not like that,' Pyre protested. 'She just doesn't always think. She's a very... 'live in the moment' kind of person,' he said, choosing his words carefully. 'But she usually means well. I guess in her mind, she was helping Euterpe by encouraging her to drink.'

{Stella glances at drunk Euterpe being helped by her boss and Shepherd.}

Stella: "Riiiigggghhhht. Because giving Akhetian Ale to someone who has never had alchohol in their life could only help them."

{She jeers sarcastically.}

'Eh, well... Loch herself was pretty drunk, so I'm sure she wasn't using her best judgement,' said Pyre weakly. In truth, he was kind of surprised by Loch's actions. She did a lot of ill-advised things herself, but rarely encouraged others to do the same. Still, he couldn't help but stick up for his friend.

{Stella just snorts at the response.}

Stella: "Why are you making excuses for her? She's caused nothing but trouble for you and your friends. Honestly, I think you'd be better off getting a different guitarist. She's not even that good."

Dolorus: //Um, maybe because they're friends? This is harsh, even by your standards.//

Pyre lifted his head, clearly shocked by the suggestion. 'Get a different guitarist? No way!' he said, a bit more sharply. 'It doesn't matter if she's not perfect yet; she'll get better by playing with us. We'd never kick her out. We're all /friends,/ not just bandmates.'

Stella: "Ok, but consider this: You all have a very important gig. She causes her usual bs and gets you /all/ kicked off the band list. Stal's dreams are crushed, Arc and Grey are inconsolable, you're out of a job, and all of it because she can't control herself. Would Stal, them, or you still consider her a friend after that? I'm just saying, it might be more considerate for your whole group to nip this problem at the bud."

Pyre thought about it. 'She'd never mess up /that/ badly,' he said firmly. 'And even if she did, we'd try our best to stay together and keep going as a band. Even Stal would understand and forgive her eventually.' He paused. 'And I don't wanna sound cheesy, but they'll always be more gig opportunities ahead of us. /Friends/ can't be replaced that easily.'

{Stella doesn't look convinced.}

Stella: "I wouldn't be so sure. But, if that's what you want to believe, so be it."

'I do believe it,' said Pyre firmly. 'And so does everyone else. I know it seems like Stal only cares about his career, but he cares about his bandmates more, I think.'

Stella: "Oh, you think? Yeah, I don't think so. I've seen people like Stal. He wants this more than life itself. The moment Loch threatens his dreams in a meaningful way, he'll drop her on her head."

'Stal /really/ wants to be successful,' said Pyre thoughtfully. 'Like... a lot. But I still don't think he'd ditch Loch over a mistake. He actually threatened to kick her out of the band once, because she kept messing up this one guitar riff she was supposed to have already learned. There was a pretty big argument. But then Stal came back later, admitted he'd been too harsh and that he didn't want to replace her. He /does/ want success, but he wants to find it with his friends as his bandmates, not a bunch of musicians he doesn't care about.'

(When I started this RP I never realised Pyre would be the one with the longest monologues)

Euterpe just continued ramble on about random nonsense. When Dianne addressed her she just nodded slowly.
"Well, in any event, I'll see if I can talk to her about it. When do you think she'll uh, return to normal? Is there an antidote?" Shepherd asked as he gently nudged the dragon up the stairs.

(He's been pretty quiet up until now x'D
I originally thought he would be the more eccentric one, but I I guess that's Loch.
Also rip Loch, she be getting all the sass now )

(Pyre was meant to be more excitable and weird like Loch, but I think he's slightly more responsible than her so it shows less. XD)

Stella: "Yeah, he thinks that now, but pretty soon, he might have to choose between success and friends. That is, If I'm reading the bloody polls right..."

{Just a note, this establishment has many bands who come through. However, those who continue to return are chosen by a popularity poll given out at the end of the band's performance. It seems reasonable that The Plague would score relatively highly, given their genre.}

Dianne: "Huh, antidote? Oh, it's not actually a 'poison', the the most basic sense of the word. She should sober up in about an hour or two. It really depends on the individual. Giving her coffee might speed up that process....Or make her so hyper that she'll start bouncing off the walls..."

'Huh, there's a poll?' said Pyre in surprise. '...So how did we score?' He knew that Stal had been disappointed by Stella's lack of interest in their performance, so it would be nice if Pyre could go back tonight and give him some good news.

"Ah, well after what happened I don't think we should give her anymore strange drinks. For now at least." Said Shepherd
When the three have reached the top off the stairs. Shepherd pauses Euterpe and moves to open the door where Marco is. "I'll get the dog don't worry" He said quickly grabbing Marco.

Euterpe sneers at the sight of the dog. "I'm not bad, like Marco, no I don't need to be locked up like him. Letttt's go backk down stairs."

{Stella gives a long suffering sigh.}

Stella: "Well, after every performance, the patrons can fill out a poll to tell us who they liked, so we can keep bringing back the good bands for them. And out of five points, ninety percent of your polls came back with a score of 4.5 or greater, so....I'm obligated by policy to invite you all back, if you want it. I was going to call Grey in the morning, but you might as well know now."

Pyre grinned, showing his long fangs to their fullest extent. 'Woah, really? We actually get to come back? Stal's going to be so happy to hear that!' he exclaimed. 'And I'm sure Loch won't mess up anything again; she'll realise what a great opportunity this is.'

Dianne: "No, Euterpe, you're going to stay with Marco until you're feeling like yourself again. It's for your own safety."

{She continues to gently lead Euterpe into the room.}

Euterpe grumbles and follows Dianne. The wobbly dragon makes her way to the bed.(sofa?, not sure if this is like an apartment room. X'D )
She plops down and begins to stare off at the windows in the room. Looking even more displeased than before.
"Alright that should do it. Dianne, hopefully there will be no more trouble tonight... When does the bar close?" Asks Shepherd .

Stella: "I sure hope so. Just keep her away from the bar this time, will you?"

(I'm going to say there's a sofa and a bed. Sometimes, the employees use it as a break room.)
Dianne: "Officially, the bar closes at 2 am. The rest of the night should be uneventful."

Shepherd makes a sigh of relief. "Oh that's good, by I bet she'll be sleeping by the time I'm done."
Before heading down he takes one more glance at Euterpe who seemed deathly silent all of a sudden.
"Uh should I leave her?" He asks.

Dianne: "Only if you think she won't do anything to hurt herself. I mean, she should be fine. There's really nothing dangerous up here."

( @Alk I read your reply in the character facts post. Yeah, that's pretty much why she doesn't like drugs. That, and the permanent damage it could cause. )

'Oh, don't worry. We'll be careful,' said Pyre. 'I'm gonna go back now and tell everyone, I'm sure they'll be glad to hear this. Thanks Stella. Well...' He paused. 'Not thanks for telling us we should throw Loch out, but thanks for letting us come back.'

Stella: "Yeah, sure. Honestly though, you should be thanking me for both."
