Yeah, all food goes to energy for playing, hunting, running and the Fireline's tail. But there's no period where one would randomly run off in random directions for no reason, like cats normally do..

This is a way it DOESN'T burn down everything around them.

Fireline's hind fur's fireproof, that's how it doesn't catch ablaze, but... the rest of their bodies are normal, as seen when it stays away from fire & they launch sparks at each other to fight.

Unlike MANY other fire based characters that probably CAN'T exist realistically without destroying the world.. Firelines are somewhat aware of their blazing buttocks, their fires AREN'T always hot, so it won't burn down forests and their ownselves...

Coming off that point, the fire's not hot to people that feed the animal/humans and animals they like. It's warm and mostly only for show when they're offguard, but can get REALLY hot in a moment's notice!

Adding to it's feels: Fireline's judge each other stereotypically as the animal kingdom does. Survival of the fittest/might makes right ect.. So they know when to fight or backdown, depending on the color of another's flame In this case:
Pale Yellow's seen in kittens
Yellow to Orange is for chillin' cats..
Orange to Red is somewhat strong.
The redder th flame, the more energy & strength the animal has therefore it's higher ranked..
Alternatively: Blue flames are quite hot, and belong to "lone wolves". While they're normally antisocial they can cool the blaze for few people they'd warm up to before they leave them..

Addimg mysticism into this: White's the rarest, and is by no means hot at all. This cat also doesn't need energy for it's flame nor does it fight.. Often it's uninterested in Earthly things and simply watch or searches for things that philosophers and theoloigists would..

Back to normal... Again harking on Fire based creatures never being able to exist with their destructive power and weaknesses... Firelines DON'T die when they're in water, alternatively they simply turn of their flame and get quite angry when wet, like normal cats. If someone gives them a bath, they simply shake off and catch back on fire as soon as possible.

The reason why they're willing to use the energy to keep the fire up, is mostly beacuse it's a sign that they're alive. It can be taken down by their own choice, but they prefer the tail to be up and ablaze at all times..

The only time it goes out permentally is when the cat dies.. the last thing it keeps up is the blaze rather than trying to stand or keep it's eyes open. If one comes across a Fireline that LOOKS LIKE it's asleep but the tail's sputtering to stay on.. you most likely came across a quickly dying Fireline...

Um, back to a more happy note! If you look into the cats. glare, you'll see a fire in their eyes!

Alright that's all it, the ideas came easy; so I decided to write them down here. Though I have no way to use any of this... Yeah, um... They're basically cats with some intelligence/more instinct as to not burn the world down.. And they can still be sadistic like normal cats or be philosophical and seemingly immortal. Also the fire in their eyes indicate what they're feeling, each color represents another emotion and is atypical to what others might think..
